The TonsBridge School(TBS), Dehradun: Admission

The School offers Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Scholarships to meritorious students of classes XI and XII. The Scholarship includes free education and transport for two years alongwith coaching from one of the leading institutes at the School’s expense. The School has presently tied up with Aakash Institute to provide coaching to the awardees.

Eligibility Criteria for Tonsbridge School Admission:

• Nursery: Age should be 3+ years as of 31st March of the admission year.
• Class I: Age should be 6+ years as of 31st March of the admission year.

Admission Process:

• KG & I: Admission to these classes at Tonsbridge School is based on an informal interaction/interview. There is no written admission test.
• Grades II Onwards: Aspiring students for Grade II and above must appear for a written test and an interview.

Admission to the Tonsbridge School boarding program begins from Grade III onwards. The written test covers English, Hindi, Mathematics, and other subjects as deemed necessary by the school.

Selection Criteria: Selection depends on the child's performance in the test/interview and the availability of seats. It also considers:

• Academic readiness and motivation
• Social and emotional development
• Family cooperation with the school
• The school's ability to meet the child's needs

The date for the result announcement, interview, and fee submission deadline will be communicated during the test/interview. The school reserves the right to admit or refuse admission based on the admission test and other criteria, and the School Head/Management's decision is final.

Documents Required for Tonsbridge School Admission: Students offered admission must submit the following documents with their application:

• 4 passport-size photographs of the child and 1 of each parent (affixed to the form)
• Original Transfer Certificate from the previous recognized school (CBSE, ICSE, or State Board). Transfer certificates from other states must be countersigned by the DEO.
• Medical Certificate from a registered doctor, including vaccination/immunization records and any relevant medical conditions.

Documents for Verification (originals required, copies accepted):

• Birth Certificate issued by MCD/Civic Authorities
• Evidence of passing the previous class or promotion to the current class
• Proof of residence (Ration Card/Voter’s ID/Passport)
• Aadhaar Card
