As a new era dawns in the history of the school, I pledge to carry forward the legacy of our Late Chairman Sardar Jaspal Singh Ji. It was his vision that has molded the school to be one of the top residential schools in the country. An educationist and visionary, his spirit shall continue to inspire us, and the bold initiatives taken by him shall benefit generations to come. Reminiscing about the history of this august institution which was founded on 23rd November 1969 in the memory of Guru Nanak Devji, on the historic occasion of his 500th Birth Anniversary celebrations. Let us take a brief moment to remember and honor our Founders Sardar Mehtab Singhji and Sardarni Jasbeer Kaur Ji (fondly addressed as Pitaji and Mataji) who made their dream of providing good quality career-oriented English medium education to children, come true.

The school provides the best boarding and lodging facilities to the students with well-built dormitories. The senior students have rooms shared by three of them.
ACTIVITIES & RECREATION
Both Campuses have running track, Tennis Courts, AstroTurf Basketball Courts, a Cricket Field, a Hockey Field, a full size Swimming Pool, Table Tennis tables.
INTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Numerous sports activities and competitions have been conducted by M.S.S.A in various schools when the students of GNFCS have performed in each and every event.

IN CAMPUS HOSPITAL
The School infirmary is equipped with all the necessary equipment and facilities to address the immediate health needs of the students while in school. It is looked after by a qualified in house nurse. Regular medical check-ups are carried out and records are maintained on a monthly basis.

GNFCS has been providing the valuable quality education for last 49 years. In the present time, when the youth is being attracted towards Western Culture, we are giving them true education with moral values and religious thoughts.

The aim of GNFCS Society is not only helping the students to secure very good marks in academics but also to become very good role models for future students and to serve in the best way for the betterment of society, nation and mankind.

The academic session starts from the first week of March and ends in the last week of November. The session consists of two terms. The first term gets over at the end of June while the final term is from July to November with a break of two weeks in between. RANKS : It is a matter of great pride for the management, staff and children of GNFC School to be voted among the top ten boarding schools in Education World India School Rankings 2017-18. The Girls’ school Shangri-la is ranked as No 7 in India and boys among the top 5 in Uttarakhand.
