• The final decision with regard to admission rests with the Principal.
• Recommendations will not be considered and DONATIONS NOT ACCEPTED.
• No Pupil from another school will be admitted without a Transfer Certificate. She is also required to appear for an Entrance test. A pupil coming from another state should have her Transfer Certificate countersigned by the Inspector of Schools.
• The School Authorities reserve the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason.
• The date of birth of a pupil, as recorded in the admission register cannot be changed. Parents are advised to give the correct date of birth of the child, at the time of admission.
• Pupil leaving the School after 31st May, must give a three month's notice or fee in lieu thereof.
• Application for a Transfer Certificate shall be made in writing to the Principal by the parent or guardian of the pupil. Rs. 100/- will be charged for the issue of a Transfer Certificate.
• A student who fails in the same class for two years in succession will not be allowed to remain in the school.

• Should a parent of his/her own accord decide against sending his/her daughter to school after he/she has deposited the admission fee and registration fee with the school, he/she will not be entitled to a refund of either the admission fee or the registration fee deposited and would be liable to pay one month's boarding fee and three month's tuition fees in lieu of notice.
• Should a parent wish to withdraw her daughter at anytime he/she must inform the Principal in writing giving clear three month's notice of his/her intention to do so. If the specified notice is not given, the parent is bound by the rules of the school to pay one month's boarding fee and three months' tuition fees.
• Should a parent at any time and for any reason decide to take his/her daughter home for any period during the academic year, he/she will not be entitled to refund of either the tuition fee or the boarding fee for the period.
• Disciplinary action will be taken against any student who is found to have used unfair means in the periodic tests or examinations and should the student concerned continue to repeat the offence, she will be required to be withdrawn.
• If a child is not returning to the school the ensuing year, notice of withdrawal must be given by 30th November. The penalty for failure to give such notice will be payment of three months' tuition fee and one month's boarding fee.

St. Mary's Convent College, Nainital is situated on a gently sloping hill with 26 acres of ground, admiringly adapted for a boarding school. It was founded in 1878 by Mother Salesia Reiner, to provide an all round education to all sections of society, regardless of caste, creed or financial status. The children are prepared for the ICSE Examination at the Class 10 level and ISC Examination at the +2 level, conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

The school is managed by the sisters of the Congregation of Jesus, in collaboration with a dedicated and competent staff. This institution, established and administered by the Christian Society, comes under articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution.
