Don Bosco Public School, Nainital Leaders Message

Ms. Aruna Khanna

Ms. Aruna Khanna

Principal

"While it is well enough to leave footprints on the sands of time, it is even more important to make sure they point in a commendable direction.”-, James Branch Cabell.

Our institution has a strong team of staff in all capacities, who are dedicated and inspired by the philosophy. Each one here toils to make the arena a congenial one for our students.

Our children are the future power holders, policy makers and employers who will mould the economic, social, cultural and political landscape of India. The aim of education goes beyond merely imparting knowledge from textbooks. Students need to learn to make choices in life, exercise their independence of thought and action, participate in decision making processes and be ready and equipped with the mental frame to face the consequences for their choices. Students need to learn how to learn' and have the willingness to unlearn and relearn to respond to new situations in a flexible and creative manner. The focus of our institution is to train students to become autonomous learners.

We believe that all children can learn once they are given, the opportunity in an appropriate productive learning environment. Hence, our educational objectives are to enable learner to develop personally and socially and relate to others with understanding and respect; to develop their creative and imaginative capacities through expression and response and to develop spiritual, moral and religious values. We believe in a holistic approach to learning.

We also believe in providing meaningful education which is enjoyable, full of variety and flexible. Learning is an active, ongoing process and the role of a teacher is redefined as a facilitator and guide giving support, setting limits and boundaries.

The curriculum followed based on the CBSE pattern which is grade and age-appropriate.

Don Bosco Public School is marching forward with a satisfactory pace.

I am very confident that the staff members are competent and equipped to deal with the ever-increasing challenges.

I totally agree with Mahatma Gandhi's words. 'Education is an all-round drawing out of the best in the child and man-body, mind and spirit.'
Mr. J.K. Chadha

Mr. J.K. Chadha

Chairman

In 2001, Don Bosco Public School came under my stewardship, when I took over the co-educational residential school from Mr. Mathew Don Bosco. At that time, we had just 65 students. With the unwavering dedication of our Principal, Mrs. L. Solomon, and a committed team of passionate educators, we worked day and night to nurture and grow the school.

Today, we are proud to have a vibrant student community of over 300 boys, and a campus that continues to flourish.

Fulfilling a long-held vision, in 2010, we took a significant step forward by establishing a separate college for girls—Aam Parao Don Bosco Girls College, affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi. With this transition, Don Bosco Public School, Dogaon, became an exclusive institution for boys, offering classes from Grade II to XII.

Our school stands as a proud symbol of academic excellence and a harmonious blend of Indian cultural values.

At Don Bosco, we believe that success is born of hard work—a belief that guides everything we do.
