Admission Process

At Birla School, Pilani, the admission process is designed to be transparent, efficient, and convenient for both parents and students. To Initiate The Admission Process

  1. Fill up the Inquiry and Submission of Admission Query form online and pay a registration fee of ₹1,700. (non-refundable)

  2. Once registered, the school office will inform the Admission Committee to proceed with the next steps. 

  3. The Admission Committee will schedule an interview for the applicant and notify the parents of the date and time.

  4. The interview will include questions on Mathematics, General Science, Environmental Studies, English, and General Knowledge.

  5. After the interview, feedback will be sent to the Principal for review.

  6. If the applicant is successful, the Principal will meet with the applicant and parents to confirm admission. 

  7. The Admission Team will send an email detailing the provisional admission, including fee information and a list of necessary documents.

  8. Admission is confirmed upon the payment of the first fee installment and submission of all required documents.

  9. After payment, parents will receive an admission form to complete and submit to finalize the admission process.

  • Previous school's leaving certificate

  • Recent passport-size photographs

  • Academic records

  • Transfer certificate (if applicable)

  • Registration is open throughout the year

  • Admissions are available for classes V to IX and XI.

  • The minimum age for admission to class V is 10 years.

  • Registration and entrance tests do not guarantee admission

  • Age verification is strictly enforced

  • No changes in the date of birth records are entertained

Birla pilani Admission guideline for classes V to IX

Admissions for classes V to IX occur from November to April based on seat availability and successful aptitude assessment in Hindi, English, Mathematics, and Reasoning.


  • Tests are conducted at various locations, including Pilani. Birla Pilani Registration forms can be obtained from the school the website.

  • Candidates must provide marksheets to prove completion of the previous class. Provisional admission is confirmed only with a countersigned School Leaving Certificate.

  • No separate communication regarding fees will be sent; fees are non-refundable.

  • Guardians must pay the first-term fee immediately upon admission confirmation; failure to do so cancels selection.

  • If a student doesn't report within seven days after admission or school reopening, their seat is forfeited, and fees are lost.

  • Names can be struck off the rolls if any entered information is incorrect.

Students looking for admission to class XI to the +2 stage of the Senior School Certificate Examination

  • Students must register for admission to class XI after the class X Board Examination results are declared.

  • An attested copy of class X marksheets needs to be submitted within one week of the result announcement or school notification.

  • Admissions will be based on merit and subject to seat availability.

  • The Principal has the authority to accept or reject admission applications without providing reasons.
