Who can apply for Sainik School form 2026-27?
Students who are eligible to apply for the Sainik School online form are mentioned below:
- Students aged between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2026, currently studying or passed Class 5. Both boys and girls can apply for Class 6.
- For Class 9, students must be 13 to 15 years old as on 31 March 2026, have passed Class 8 from a recognised school, and are generally limited to boys (though girls may be allowed in some Sainik Schools).

To apply for the Sainik School admission form, students first need to register online on the official NTA AISSEE portal. Sainik School Admission online application 2026-27 - Important Guidelines
There are certain guidelines given below that each student must be aware of before starting to fill out the online form for Sainik School to avoid any rejection or delays:
- Candidates must apply for AISSEE 2025 online only at the NTA Sainik School Society official website. Forms in any other mode will not be accepted.
- Each candidate can submit only one application form.
- The same application form is valid for both Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools.
- The AISSEE exam fee is the same whether a candidate applies for Sainik Schools, New Sainik Schools, or both.
- If a candidate submits more than one form for the same class (VI or IX), all forms will be rejected.
- Candidates must follow all instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Anyone not following them will be disqualified.
- Candidates should use their own email ID and mobile number or those of their parents. NTA will send all updates through email or SMS to the given contact details. These will also be needed during counselling.
- Candidates must download, save, and print the confirmation page after fee payment and keep it safe for future use.
- The application form will not be considered complete if the AISSEE 2026 exam fee is not paid. Such forms will be rejected.
- Candidates must keep their application number and password safe. They will need the said details for checking registration details and downloading admit cards, results, etc.
- NTA will not refund any exam fee once paid under any circumstances.
