NTA started the online Sainik School admission form on October 10, 2025. Students can apply until October 30, 2025, by 5 PM, and pay the application fee by October 31, 2025, up to 11:50 PM. The correction window for the form will be open from November 2 to 4, 2025.

To fill out the AISSEE 2026 form, they must first register on the NTA Sainik School Society portal to get a unique application number, and then log in using that number and a password to complete the Sainik School online form.

Who can apply for Sainik School form 2026-27?

Students who are eligible to apply for the Sainik School online form are mentioned below:

• Students aged between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2026, currently studying or passed Class 5. Both boys and girls can apply for Class 6.
• For Class 9, students must be 13 to 15 years old as on 31 March 2026, have passed Class 8 from a recognised school, and are generally limited to boys (though girls may be allowed in some Sainik Schools).

To apply for the Sainik School admission form, students first need to register online on the official NTA AISSEE portal. The NTA will likely release the registration notification for Sainik Schools in November or December 2025. Till then, candidates can check out the steps below to register for the AISSEE 2026 exam:

Step 1: Online Sainik School Registration

• Visit the official portal at exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/.
• Scroll down and click the "Registration for AISSEE-2026 Examination" link. You will be redirected to a new page. 
• On the new page, again click the same option as mentioned above. 
• A new page will open where you must click on "Register yourself for the above-mentioned examination" option. 
• Register using a unique email ID and mobile number.
• After successful registration, you will get your application number at your registered email.
• Use your application number, password, and security PIN to login and complete the online application form.

Note: The last date for submitting the AISSEE 2026 application form is October 30, 2025.

After you complete the registration, follow these steps to fill out the Sainik School admission online application form:

• Go to the official website NTA Sainik Schools Society website as mentioned above.
• Click the "Registration for AISSEE-2026 Examination" link on the homepage.
• On the new page, click on "Already Registered Candidates" option.
• Enter your application number, password, and security pin on the login page.
• Fill in the online application form with your personal and academic details, select your preferred schools and exam cities. 
• Note down the system-generated application number.

• Pay the online tentative exam fee of Rs 950 for General/OBC(NCL)/Defence/Ex-servicemen and Rs 800 for SC/ST. 
• You can pay through SBI Payment Gateway using Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Net Banking.

• If the confirmation page does not appear, your fee will be refunded to the original payment source.

Sainik School Form Documents Required

While filling out the Sainik School form, candidates must upload the following documents: scanned photo between 10 & 200 KB, scanned signature should be between 10 & 50 KB. Rest scanned certificates like domicile, date of birth, caste, etc., should be of file size between 50 & 300 KB. There are certain guidelines given below that each student must be aware of before starting to fill out the online form for Sainik School to avoid any rejection or delays:

• Candidates must apply for AISSEE 2025 online only at the NTA Sainik School Society official website. Forms in any other mode will not be accepted.
• Each candidate can submit only one application form.
• The same application form is valid for both Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools.
• The AISSEE exam fee is the same whether a candidate applies for Sainik Schools, New Sainik Schools, or both.
• If a candidate submits more than one form for the same class (VI or IX), all forms will be rejected.
• Candidates must follow all instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Anyone not following them will be disqualified.
• Candidates should use their own email ID and mobile number or those of their parents. NTA will send all updates through email or SMS to the given contact details. These will also be needed during counselling.
• Candidates must download, save, and print the confirmation page after fee payment and keep it safe for future use.
• The application form will not be considered complete if the AISSEE 2026 exam fee is not paid. Such forms will be rejected.
• Candidates must keep their application number and password safe. They will need the said details for checking registration details and downloading admit cards, results, etc.
• NTA will not refund any exam fee once paid under any circumstances.
• The entire AISSEE 2026 process is online, including uploading documents, paying fees, and printing the confirmation page. Candidates should not send any documents to NTA by post, fax, or in person.
