Sainik School Preparation for Class 6

Parents as well as students can check below the specific learning and Sainik School Preparation strategies that must be followed to achieve good scores in the AISSEE 2026 exam for Class 6 admissions:

  • First, get to know the exact topics in the latest AISSEE Class 6 syllabus. For example, in Mathematics: natural numbers, HCF-LCM, fractions, percentage, area and perimeter, and volume of cubes and cuboids.

  • Break the syllabus into small parts. Each week, try to study 2–3 topics from Maths, 1 from English, 1 from Intelligence, and 1 from GK.

  • In Maths, first understand concepts clearly. Learn definitions and see how formulas are made. Practise simple problems before moving to tricky or mixed ones. Keep a “mistake notebook” for Maths and Reasoning. Write down every error you make, whether it’s a calculation, a wrong concept, or a reading mistake. Revise these notes weekly and practise similar questions again.

  • Do daily speed drills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and tables. This will help you calculate quickly and avoid errors in the exam.

  • For English, practise one comprehension passage daily. Revise grammar topics like tenses, pronouns, question tags, and articles. Build vocabulary by learning synonyms, antonyms, and confusing words. Use flashcards for better memory retention.

  • In Intelligence/Reasoning, solve puzzles like odd one out, series, pattern recognition, and classification under a timer to train your mind for quick thinking.

  • For GK, read something new daily. Focus on Indian symbols, culture, heritage, basic science, and important news from the past 6–12 months. Use maps for geography and timelines for history.

  • Take weekly mock tests or solve old AISSEE papers (125 questions, 150 minutes) to practise exam timing. After each test, check which section took the most time and where you made mistakes.

  • Follow a time strategy in the exam. Since Maths has 50 questions and carries half the marks (150 out of 300), keep enough time for this section. Do not spend too much time on GK or Intelligence. Answer easy questions first.

  • Make a revision plan for the last 2–3 weeks. Revise all topics once, solve full mock tests, and re-do weak areas. Revise old topics for 15–20 minutes daily to keep them fresh.

  • Finally, work on accuracy. There is no negative marking, so guessing is fine if you don’t know the correct answer, but leave the guesswork for the last.

  • Read questions carefully and avoid silly mistakes.
