GD Goenka International School(GDGISN), Nainital: Admission

• Grade 3 - Grade 5 : All students securing above 95% in final examinations will be presented with a GIFT & Certificate of academic excellence. All students securing 90 & above in each class will only be presented with a normal Certificate of academic excellence.
• Grade 6th - 8th : All students securing above 95% in final examinations will be presented with a customized GOLD certificate of academic excellence and a GOLD medal. All students securing 90 & above in each class will be presented with a normal Certificate of academic excellence and a different colour medal.
• Grade 9th & 11th : All students securing above 95% in final examinations will be presented with a Silver coin and a customized GOLD certificate of academic excellence. All students securing 90 & above will be presented with a different colour medal and a normal Certificate of academic excellence.
• Grade 10 : All current students who scored 90% & above in the final examination will be awarded with Manmohan Scholarship of Rs. 50000/- per annum in grade 11 if they continue in our school. This amount will be distributed in 2 installments. That means the school will sponsor Rs. 25000/- to these students on their both 1st & 2nd installment submission, which will subsequently add up to Rs. 50,000/- by the end of the academic year. These students will also be presented with a certificate of Manmohan scholarship by the school. All students securing 95% above in the final examination will be eligible for the above and also will be presented with a TROPHY of academic excellence.
• Grade 12 : Only the school topper will be presented with a customized GOLD certificate and a Tablet. In case the school topper has secured above 90 percent, he/she will also be awarded with a Shield of academic excellence. In case the topper has scored below 90% he/she will not be eligible for the Shield of academic excellence, but will get the rest. All students in this class securing 90% & above (either in Humanities, Science or Commerce) will be presented with a medal and a normal certificate of academic excellence. All students securing 95% & above in a particular subject which also can be counted as a major subject for that student, will be presented with a normal certificate of academic excellence. FYI, in case a student scores 95% & above in 2 subjects, that student will then be given 2 certificates for respective subjects.
• Award for School All Rounder : This will be given to a student who has excelled not only in academics but also in other fields such as sports, interschool participation, clubs, discipline etc. The candidate will be chosen after a voting activity conducted between staff and the principal of the school. The student with maximum votes will be eligible for the award. The awardee will be awarded with a TROPHY and a normal certificate to acknowledge the achievement of the student.

Note: All scholarships are applicable only on tuition fees.

For Noble Academic Performances

• 10 CGPA (95% and above): 15% scholarship on the annual school tuition fees.
• 9 CGPA (86% to 94%): 12% scholarship on the annual school tuition fees.

For Sports Performances

• State Level Winner: 10% scholarship on the annual school tuition fees.
• National Level Winner: 15% scholarship on the annual school tuition fees.
• International Level Winner: 20% scholarship on the annual school tuition fees.

For Grade Eleven Existing Students

• 10 CGPA: Scholarship of INR 60,000.
• 9 CGPA: Scholarship of INR 40,000.

• For Girl Child :  “BetiPadhegiDeshPadegha” Scholarship for girls The amount of scholarship is decided after an interaction with the management. Scholarships up to Rs. 50,000/-.
• For Single/ Divorce Mother Child : Only if requested and proof of Status & Income submitted then 10% of the school yearly fee. (After discussion & approval from Management).

APPLICATION

Parents are requested to be frank and honest in providing information in the admission application form. Adverse information if any, whether scholastic or behavioral, will not be a ground for refusal of any admission request. Any such information would in fact help the school to create a suitable environment for your child, once admitted. Any wrong information or concealment of information discovered later may lead to cancellation of admission.

INTERACTION

The interaction is as pleasant and non-intimidating as we can make it. It is normally conducted by Head of Admissions, School Director, the respective Principal, Head of Pastoral Care and Residence Coordinator (if applicable). We are interested in knowing about the child's/ student's educational development, use of language, social skills, academic enthusiasms and extra-curricular interests. The aim of the interaction is to find about what the student knows, understands and enjoys.
