Sport is an integral part of life at Taurian World School and we have a reputation for producing well-trained and competitive youngsters across all age groups. With state-of-the-art facilities on our widespread campus, our students learn football, cricket, basketball, athletics, lawn tennis, squash, table tennis, karate, and volleyball. Our on-site facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, horse riding in 30 acres of playing fields. Our sports schedule keeps our students busy and active during the week. While on most Saturdays, we play matches between houses, hostels and classes, our teams also play against top schools of the city, state and even at national level to develop their competitiveness level. Transport
To make commuting to and from the school convenient and safe, Taurian World School (TWS) operates a fleet of air-conditioned school buses throughout Ranchi. Onc e on campus, there is a devoted team of more than 30 highly qualified and certified security personnel, who are trained in “School Safety and Crisis Preparedness Planning”, so that you can be rest assured knowing your wards are in safe hands. Each hostel is equipped with a security station, with a security guard on duty 24/7. Female security staff is employed for the girls’ residences at all times. To boost our security measures and safety standards, we are equipped with over 60 security cameras across the campus to ensure constant surveillance. The school is surrounded with an 8 feet wall topped with razor sharp concertina wire. There are hourly campus patrols done through the day and night. Centrally situated on the ground floor, our lab spaces can be accessed through well-connected walkways. Plentiful spaces are allocated across disciplines includ ing pure sciences, multimedia, fashion studies, home science, mathematics, geography and languages. Science labs are spacious and configured to accommodate 24 students. Equipped with water sprinkler, fire extinguishers and showers, it has everything that is required as per the international safety standards. The lavishly spread amphitheat er is a splendour we proudly share with our students. The amphitheatre at the Taurian World School is a marvel worth witnessing. The sheer size of the amphitheatre and the ambience around it draws students to it. With a seating capacity of over 5000 people, it is graded for maximum viewing and the sightlines are excellent from anywhere in it. Well equipped with theatre lights and sounds, the amphitheatre is a platform for students to showcase their talents.
