The Vikas Vidyalaya Ranchi admission process for the 2024-25 session is now open for classes IV through XI.
- To begin the admission process at Vikas Vidyalaya, prospective students must register online or offline.
- The school prospectus can be obtained from the school office on any working day for a registration fee of Rs. 2500/-.
- After registration, the school will schedule an admission test.
Admissions at Vikas Vidyalaya are:
- Based on the entrance test results and available vacancies in the chosen class or hostel.
- Applications are accepted from children of resident Indians, non-resident Indians/NRIs, and foreign nationals.
- The registration process for Vikas Vidyalaya Ranchi can be completed online or by submitting a filled form with the required fee via DD or RTGS/NEFT.
The entrance test at Vikas Vidyalaya Ranchi is a comprehensive assessment covering English, Mathematics, and Hindi. Following the entrance test, successful candidates will be offered admission. To confirm admission, a non-refundable amount of Rs. 30,000 must be transferred to the school account within 10 days of the offer, along with the completed admission form.

- Character Certificate (for Class 11 admission).
- Migration Certificate (if changing boards in Class 11).
Admission to Class 11 at Vikas Vidyalaya:
The Class 11 session begins in mid-April. Admissions are finalized in July after the CBSE Class 10 board results are released. Performance in the Class 10 pre-board examination and the Class 9 final report are considered. The school offers Science (Medical and Non-Medical) and Commerce streams. All Class 11 admissions are provisional and subject to CBSE eligibility criteria.
Important Information for Admissions:
- Prepare your child for the residential school environment.
- Students are expected to return to school on reopening days.
- Newly admitted students must bring their admission letter when joining the campus.
- A Roll Number and House Name will be assigned after admission confirmation.
- All belongings should be marked with the Roll Number.
- Tucks, eatables, cash, valuables, and mobile phones are not allowed.
- Visitors must leave the campus by 5:00 PM.
- Fees are due on notified dates. Unpaid fees will result in the student not being allowed in school.
- Original TC/SLC must be submitted to the school office upon joining if not already submitted during registration.
- Original photo IDs of both parents and local guardians must be presented upon admission.
- Students will only be allowed to leave campus with a parent or local guardian.

Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi Withdrawal Policy
- No fee is refundable if a child is withdrawn in the first year of enrollment.
- A written three months’ notice should be given if a child has to be withdrawn for any reason or else a fee for the specific period will be charged.
- Students who do not plan on continuing in the next semester should fill out a withdrawal form by the 15th of March.
- Failure to follow the necessary procedures while adhering to the provisions of the constitution shall lead to the forfeiture of the Caution Money.
- Transfer Certificate will not be processed until all the due have been paid or an NOC from the various departments has been obtained.
- In cases where the Caution Money is refundable, all claims must be made within six months from the time of withdrawal or else the money will have to be forfeited.
- If any child is expelled or withdrawn due to indiscipline, no fee will be refunded.
a) Parents desirous of withdrawing their wards from the school at the end of an academic year must give clear notice in writing latest by 30th March of the academic year and obtain an acknowledgement from the school. Caution Money deposit would be refunded after deducting all dues.
b) If the withdrawal notice is received after the stipulated date the Caution Money Deposit will be forfeited and all dues to be cleared separately.
c) If a child is withdrawn in the middle of the term he/ she has to clear all dues of the term and no refund of fee will be made.
d) A student who drops out in the middle of the term forfeits the claim of fees refund.
e) Transfer Certificate would be issued after 15 days of receiving the application on condition of settlement of account of the child in all aspects.
f) Parents who want the Transfer Certificates to be counter signed by CBSE have to directly request CBSE, Regional Office Patna.
g) Disputes arising in all matters will have to be settled by arbitration within the jurisdiction of Ranchi city.

Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi Entrance Test
- A child has has to get registered first which is followed by an entrance test.
- First Entrance Test is conducted in December end every year. The test comprises of a written examination in English, Hindi & Mathematics – each paper is of one hour’s duration.
