There are three boarding houses, Gayatri, Santoshi and Laxmi. Each child is under the supervision and care of a Boarding Housemother responsible for her specific age group. Each purpose-built boarding house provides modern amenities including attractive bedrooms accommodating five-eight students, superb bath and shower facilities, comfortable common and recreational rooms, a quiet area and a Library. In boarding we provide a home away from home where we maintain traditional values in a family atmosphere. We develop in the whole child a desire for truth, decorum, courtesy and high-achievement. These values are the cornerstones of success.

At MIS we serve a purely vegetarian diet to our students. The multi-cuisine food is prepared by our expert in-house catering staff in a hygienic kitchen, abiding by all the safety protocols. Our kitchen staff takes special caution and care for students with food allergies. Concerned about the fact that many students and staff are sensitive to nuts, gluten, dairy and other foods, they strive to keep these needs in mind while planning the menu. Student menu is designed in consultation with the nutritionist and dining hall committee, which consist of students and staff as well. We serve five meals a day which includes breakfast, the juice break, lunch, teatime snack, dinner, as well as milk and cookies before bed. Rooted to Indian ethos and values, we commence all meals chanting ‘Gayatri Mantra’ to radiate positivity and inculcate gratitude. The food is served by the senior students, which instills in them the values of service before self and equality. Our dining hall is a reflection of the idea "what you eat is what you become". The food is not only carefully prepared keeping in mind the nutritional requirements and holistic growth of every child, but is also immensely delicious and appetizing!

At Mussoorie International School, sports and games curriculum is an integral part of the education process. Sports help to build character and impart the importance of discipline in life. It inculcates a respect for rules and allows the participants to learn the value to self-control, time management and most of all discipline. Countless studies have shown that health and academics go hand in hand. To ensure physical, mental and emotional health of the students, we have incorporated the Health Set Go Program. Health Set Go is India’s pioneering health solutions program working on the World Health Organization School Health Framework, with the aim to provide children with a healthy environment which leads to holistic development. The school has a well-equipped, empowered wellness centre with a resident doctor, 2 trained nursing staff and an ambulance.
