Admission Process

As an international school, we not only serve applicants from India but also welcome admission of students of different nationalities. The approval and denial of admission is on the basis of an interaction  with the Head of School and the program coordinator for students seeking admission in Early Years to Grade 5. The Middle and Senior School admissions are done on the basis of a written placement test along with an interaction with the Head of School and the respective Program Coordinator. Enquiries for admission are accepted throughout the school academic year based on the availability of seats.

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS AT SANCTA MARIA [Pre-Primary to 12]
  • The selection of learners for admission to the School is based on an assessment of the following factors :
  • Whether a complete admission application (being a complete set of all documentation and information requested) is submitted;
  • Whether the learner has met the promotion requirements to the next grade (immediately below the grade to which the admission application relates);
  • Whether there are places available at the chool given the capacity;
  • Whether the school can meet the educational needs of the learner (including but not limited to any special educational needs of the learner);
  • Age of the learner. Age appropriateness as per the CAIE, IB and Government of India norms will be the point of reference per grade before granting admission unless exceptional circumstances require otherwise. The statistical age norm per grade as of the 1st of July of the year applied for is as;
  • No student will be denied admission based on caste, creed, gender, race, religion, ethnic background or other discriminatory practice;
  • Admission is made purely based on first-come, first-serve, merit & subject to the availability of seats in different classes;
  • The willingness of the learner to participate in and add value to all areas of school life;
  • Admission to the School is in the best interests of the learner – all learners are required to participate in the academic, sports and cultural programs of the school, and given the need to ensure that;
  • English language, Mathematics and any other subject relevant to the proficiency is measured as part of the admission process for students entering Grades 6 – 12; Page 1 of 7
  • Students are only taken into Grade 10 if they are transferring from a similar curriculum. Their admission is based on reports from their existing school and an assessment followed by an interaction;
  • Admission seekers for Grade 11 have a verbal interaction and written assessments in English, Mathematics and any other subject as required. All the IB Diploma candidates also have a meeting with the HOS. The candidates should demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the IB Diploma Programme.
  • In Grade XII, only transfer of IB Diploma Students is admitted, provided they meet all the prerequisites of the IB Diploma;

Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawal Form

We always believe in excellence in everything which involves the overall child journey with us. However, we understand that a student may have to leave for various reasons and expect a notice a month in advance from the admissions/parent relations team. The parent relations team would share the form to start the process of exit formalities before issuing the Transfer Certificate. For the exit in between the quarters, the parent shall clear the complete quarter payment.

Withdrawal and Refund Procedure
  • Parents wishing to withdraw their child/children from school must write to the Parent Relations Officer to issue the School Transfer Certificate.
  • Students being asked to leave the school on disciplinary grounds in the middle of the semester must pay the Fee for the entire Quarter. It shall be adjusted against the Security Deposit.
  •  Refunds for pass-outs/ withdrawals/ transfers (including the middle of semester withdrawals) shall be processed within 60 days of the student's exit date after adjusting unpaid dues.
  • Transfer Certificates -Transfer Certificates are issued once the student's dues to the school have been fully paid and settled. All school assets/resources returned to school.
  • If the child is not attending school or online classes for more than a month without informing the school, it would be understood that the student will not continue the school further and Management has the right to release the seat for the prospective student who is on waitlist. Further, the same student who is willing to re-join will be treated as a new admission and undergo the same payment procedure.

About

About Sancta Maria International School

Welcome to Sancta Maria International School. With great honour and pride, I welcome you to the Sancta Maria family – comprising our dedicated faculty, parents, and students.

Progressing with one vision and a shared mission through unwavering beliefs, tireless efforts and daily improvements, Sancta Maria envisages guiding your child towards life-long learning and unlocking their full potential. We have a fusion of students from various cultures and traditions on campus, gaining holistic development through continuous efforts.

Adhering to our motto, “In Omnia Excellentia”, we mentor-guide, mould and encourage students and thus nurture unique champions of intellectual brilliance with a proficient sense of ethical and civic responsibilities. There is a saying in Latin, “unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno” (one for all, all for one), which means each individual should act for the benefit of this group, and the group should act for the benefit of each individual. That has been the constant endeavour of the school from its inception.

Our focus is to nurture the students with confidence, resilience, strength, and courage to face any adversities positively in a challenging world. We aim to give wings to the dreams and passions of our students so that they fly with limitless possibilities and achieve ongoing success throughout their life. Vision
To unlock the potential of every learner for a better world.

Motto
In Omnia Excellentia
Excellence in everything

Values
FAIRNESS | INTEGRITY | RESPECT | EXCELLENCE | HAPPINESS | VALUE CREATION

Our Commitment
We seek to understand the needs, interests and motivations of each of our learners so that we can set them up for success in their unique journeys.
We provide a safe and stimulating learning environment on campus and online where learning happens by design and not by chance.
We foster a culture of growth mindset and lifelong learning where staff and students are allowed to ask questions, make mistakes and take risks.
We respect differences and are mindful of our language while speaking about and with students.
We take concrete measures to promote physical, emotional, social and mental wellbeing of our students and staff.
We develop an enabling relationship with our parent community where constructive feedback is sought and used for improvement.
We look after our environment and consume with care.
We build meaningful partnerships with global organisations for a lasting positive impact.
In doing so, we aim to develop competent and compassionate young people who are confident, innovative, engaged, responsible and reflective. Only last year in July 2015 MS was conferred the prestigious International School Award for 2018-2021 by the British Council, and now the Indian Education Congress has honoured it with the 'The Standalone School of the Year Award 2016' at the 6 th National Award on Excellence in education held in Delhi.
