Shrewsbury International School India will be a co-educational boarding school located on a 150-acre campus in India’s cleanest capital Bhopal. The school is designed for pupils between the ages of 11 and 18 and will accommodate a maximum of 800 pupils. The school will follow the English National Curriculum, which will prepare pupils for the Cambridge International IGCSE Examinations in Years 10 and 11. Successful completion of these examinations will allow pupils to pursue A Level courses in Years 12 and 13
Shrewsbury India will follow the same ethos, virtues, and goals of its parent campus in the UK and will aim to provide a holistic education that caters to the needs of each individual pupil. It will foster a thriving and inclusive boarding school community where pupils can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The India campus intends to combine the spiritual values and respect for learning found in Indian society with the best practices of a British Independent School, both inside and outside the classroom. By doing so, it aims to create a unique educational experience that benefits from the strengths of both cultures.
At Shrewsbury India, there will be a strong emphasis on individual responsibility, personal appearance, independent learning, and respect for both people and property. Pupils will be expected to adhere strictly to the codes of behaviour, discipline, and self-discipline that are integral to fostering a confident and socially aware school community. Our pupils will be actively encouraged to engage in deep thinking, develop independent thought, and demonstrate consideration for others.
