Holy Home, an English Medium, co-educational, boarding and day school, has been creating students of phenomenal competencies since 1985. It is at Serampore, by the Ganges, adjacent to the Walsh Hospital, pioneering English Education to commoners . It is affiliated to CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations). The school has reached the milestone of 38 years in its sojourn in dissemination of knowledge & mind shaping. It believes in the thought – ” A Diamond is a chunk of coal made good under pressure” and moves forward with the blessings and ideals of their founder Principal Sir, Late Prof. Swaraj Mukhopadhyay.
The school is headed by Reverend Rector & Secretary Mrs. Indrani Mukherjee, who is currently the Principal of the school. She is supported by an efficient team of devoted, qualified and highly experienced Headmaster as well as teachers. The Asst. Secretary Mr. Sangeet Mukhopadhyay,is a lovable personality, a helpful man and a friendly human being who welcomes everyone to the school with utmost warmth. Mrs. Palashpriya Mukherjee, the Joint Secretary and the academic incharge, is very dear and respected by all.
Holy Home, believes in a holistic approach. It has different club activities to foster fellow feeling, compassion, sportsmanship, challenge and sense of competition among the toddlers. It focuses on the overall development of a child.
AIMS
Since the time of its inception the school has been endeavouring under the pioneering efforts of Late Swaraj Mukherjee and after his passing away by Ms. lndrani Mukherjee, Rector & Secretary, in imparting contemporary education blending with tradition. The school curriculum is extensive, carrier oriented, student centric and value based. Activities like music, dance, painting, creative writing, quiz, debate and histrionics are encouraged with emphasis on community services. An efficient faculty is constantly working for the development of the students so as to help the institution to bring out conscious, skillful & strong individuals ready to face global challenges.
OBJECTIVES
The motto of the school is “A Diamond is A Chunk of Coal Made Good Under Pressure”. All efforts will be directed to the achievement of that objective, considering the fact that education is a social vehicle, which must forge ahead and be a source of new ideas. The School will, therefore, make every endeavor to realize the worth and uniqueness of individual and try to provide the right opportunity and environment for a harmonious and all-round development of the personality of a student, who will be imbued with a spirit of exploration, research and creation.
