Introduction De Paul School, Kolkata, is a Catholic institution established and managed by the Vincentian fathers of the North Indian Province of the Congregation of the Mission under Articles 29 and 30 of the Constitution of India. As a Minority institution, De Paul School is primarily meant to cater to the educational needs of Christians. However, it is also open to students of other communities irrespective of caste, creed, or color. History Of The School De Paul School was established in 2007 to provide quality and affordable education to the children of the surrounding community. The school had a humble beginning with only a handful of students and a few dedicated teachers. Today, De Paul School is a leading institution in the locality, known for its strong academic program, dedicated faculty, and commitment to excellence. I. OBJECTIVES: 1. To impart to the students a sound education under the care of the Fathers and Brothers of the Congregation of the Mission. This includes not only training of the mind but also moulding of character and promoting leadership and initiative to prepare them to shoulder responsibilities, maintaining a high standard to honour and probity in private and public life as well, i.e., in short, to promote the all-round development, spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, social, etc. of the pupils committed to their care. 2. To inculcate in the students a spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and healthy competition. 3. To promote patriotism, national integration, and international understanding. 4. To promote a selfless and dedicated service mentality. 5. To prepare the students for Std. X Examination of the Council for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (I.C.S.E.) New Delhi and Std. XII Examination of Indian School Certificate (I.S.C.) New Delhi. The medium of Instruction is English. Hindi and Bengali are taught being the national language and state language, respectively.
