Nursery I, Nursery II and Transition
Minimum age of a child for admission to Nursery LKG and UKG is 3+, 4+ and 5+ respectively.
The general public is informed through advertisement/ notification in the newspapers / school notice board / school website about the commencement of the admission process.
Registration forms for Nursery I & II are sold online through the School website against a stipulated amount for a period of around 10 days during the months of June / July. Registration forms for Transition are sold online through the school website in the month of January. The school shortlists candidates as per its own criteria and parents of such short – listed children will be required to come to the school along with their wards for an interaction with the Principal.
Classes I – V
In the month of December, a notice is put up for admission from Class I to Class V depending upon the vacancies.
Class VI Onwards
Pupils join St.Clare School from Class VI and continue till Class X. However, admission to class XI is solely on the basis of merit. Due to limitations, the School cannot admit all its students to Higher Secondary classes. So an important condition of admission to St.Clare School is that it carries with it no guarantee, that after passing the ISCE, a pupil will automatically get a seat in St.Clare School for the two-year Higher Secondary Course.
Classes VI – IX
Admission tests are held for Classes VI to X as well, only if there are vacancies. The report card and the original transfer certificate in the original from the previous school are required
Classes XI
Students seeking admission in Class XI are required to furnish: Transfer Certificate signed by the Head of the Institution last attended. Character certificate issued by the School/Institution last attended. Class X Mark sheet and Passing Certificate.

Decades ago with a little step we started our journey for setting up a child-centric learning centre. This centre nurtured manifold functions that led to the making of society educated and furnished with modem outlook. In those ongoing periods, we had to face many challenges and counter challenges, which gave rise to the learning centre, name St. Clare school.
Recalled in 80s I was much disturbed looking at the plight of our local children including my son who had to commute from a far distant place to the main city for getting better education.
The hardship of these innocents gained momentum and I achieved my dream. Thinking about the economic condition of local families, the fees structure is kept very low in comparison to other English medium ICSE schools.
Stepping in the era of the 21st century, when look back to those days, I become very nostalgic and thank those teachers, staff and well wishers who took upon their shoulders to build up the school and made it a successful journey which I cherish the most.
As a founder, I want to establish this school as an eminent ‘Learning House’ to produce doctors, engineers, scholars and good citizens with great character and ideology who will take the charge for development of the society as well as the country as a perfect leader in all works of life.

I strongly feel that education is a blend of academic excellence and creativity and as the Principal of the School; my motto is to encourage and empower our students to grow as a strong, reflective and humble individuals with discerning minds, prepared to make a mark in all spheres of life.
Effective teaching is about involving students not only in their learning journey, it is also about talking to them about their well-being, encouraging them and helping them develop their skills simultaneously. Value oriented process is crucial for a school’s all round developments. Social and emotional intelligence of a child plays a very significant role in their healthy growth.
Along with the association of the experienced educators, I will continue my work to maintain the legacy of the school by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners. I believe that for the holistic development of a child involvement of parents is extremely important. I request parents to share their valuable inputs for the growth of children.

The aim of education is not only to impart text book knowledge but also to inculcate “Humanity” and “Morality”. Education means character building. Students must be able to stand on their own feet in the din and bustle of the society. They must have self confidence to face the hardship in practical life. We inculcate in our students to respect Mother, Father & Teacher as said in the Upanishad
“‘Matridevo Bhava, Pitridevo Bhava, Acharyadevo Bhava.” We teach in the school that all religions are true and hence to have equal respect for all religions.
We give ample opportunities to the students to come to our teachers for any guideline. Our teachers are caring, highly educated and dedicated for the upliftment of our students and the Institution.
The greatest virtue of existence is “Self introspection”. I hope that every student is able to purify their “Soul” through proper upbringing by our teachers.
I consider myself fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to serve this Institution.

The St. Clare School was established in the year 1986. This is a Co-education School affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations(ICSE). This school started its journey for setting up a child-centric learning centre. This centre nurtured manifold functions that led to the making of society educated and furnished with modern looks.
Initially The school had started in a rented house, with a few teachers and about 15 students. Afterwards, it was shifted to a building at B-25, Aurobindo Park,Kolkata – 700093, The school received affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in 1988. school has get it isc affiliation in 2023. we are looking forward to introduce stream of Science/Humanity/Commerce.
