Withdrawal Policy

The boys may be withdrawn from the school on the following grounds.

  • Medical Grounds :If a boy becomes medically unfit and is likely to be unfit for entry into NDA, heis to be withdrawn from the school. He may, however, be permitted to continue his studies on payment of full fees and other expenses from the date he is found medically unfit. Cases with Hansons’s diseases will be compulsorily withdrawn.
  • Withdrawal due to non-payment of fees :Repeated defaulters who do not pay the fees regularlymay be withdrawn from the school. The parents are required to clear the dues and also to refund any amount that might have been sanctioned as scholarship by the Government in such cases.
  • Withdrawal on Parents Request :Boys are accepted for admission with the understanding thatthey will remain in the school for the entire course. Should they, however, be withdrawn due to personal reasons, parents will have to pay fees in accordance with the school rules. Notice of withdrawals must be given in writing to the Principal two months before the commencement of the following term. Failure to give notice will entail the forfeiture of caution money. Parents of boys who are in receipt of scholarship can withdraw them only after repayment of the entire amount of scholarship enjoyed by the boys. Parents withdrawing their children after 30 Sep. of a year should pay fees for that full academic session.
  • Withdrawal on Disciplinary Ground :The Principal can without assigning any reason, withdrawany boy from the school if he considers the boy’s conduct, behaviour or influence to be in any way detrimental to the interest of the school.

Sainik School Purulia is one of the 33 Sainik Schools in the country and one of the prestigious English medium residential public schools in the state of West Bengal. It was established in the year 1962 under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence for the removal of regional imbalances in the officer‘s cadres of Defence Services in India. The school is situated in the idyllic foreground of the Ayodhya Hills, covering an area of 279 acres on the Purulia-Ranchi Road in the close vicinity Of Sidho Kanho Birsa University , 04 km away from Purulia town, which is a district headquarters. Over the years the school proved its excellence in all spheres. With an objective to prepare the students academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy, the school laid emphasis on a holistic education system.
