We (Patna Doon Public School, Patna) are the First school in Patna to have Computer Aided Teaching and Learning through Smart Class using Plasma Screens with Smart Assessment System (SAS ) in all the classes. SAS is an unique tool which instantly allows teachers to assess and evaluate the learning achieved by students. The system is designed for the students to answer Multiple Choice Questions in the classroom. Students answer the test appropriate methodology. The data pertaining to each child is stored and the application allows the teacher to generate a wide range of reports with respect to the whole class and also for each individual student. The SAS will benefit students in the long run by increasing their speed and mental alertness during examinations. Smart Class is a highly interactive computer based aid which makes lessons come alive. Through the Smart class program teachers use digital resources such as Animation Clips, Videos, Diagrams, Maps, Graphs, Working models, Computer based simulations etc. from the vast repository, while teaching the chosen topic in the classroom enabling students to acquire a faster and a better understanding of the concepts taught. Through the internet teachers connect to information resources far beyond the physical confines of the classroom and bring the virtual world within the walls of the classroom thus exponentially increasing the knowledge base for practical use in teaching and learning

Our physics laboratory is a modern one and well equipped to cater to the requirements of classes 7 and above as well as for the specific requirements of the CBSE course. The examinations in physics practicals have been held in our lab ever since the inception of the CBSE course in our school.

Swimming is a well recognized sports which may be helpful in case of emergency also. While constructing the swimming pool all possible safety provisions and hygienic arrangements were kept in mind. The following steps are taken for the safety of the student and for proper running of the swimming pool: Water Level is maintained strictly according to height of the swimming pool and in no case it is more than ¾ of the height of the users It has been fenced from all side and gate of the pool is opened only after the permission of the principal No one can enter the swimming pool without the guidance and supervision of the instructor who leads the student to the swimming pool. Separate batches of swimming are arranged for boys and girls in various sections There is a provision of supply of clean hygienic and purified water which is drained out in time Days have been fixed for the use of swimming pool by different classes. Scarlet colour swimming suit has been prescribed both for the boys and the girls

In the age of computer, computer literacy is must. so computer education is compulsory from class I to x. the computer room is designed to bring the latest in the field of information technology within the practical reach of every students. The Computer Laboratory is well equipped with state of the art computer systems. The 45 systems are situated in two laboratories. Lab - 1 has 25 systems and Lab - 2 has 20 systems. The school has two streams of computer students. The students who have chosen Computer Science as their 6th Subject from Standard 8 upwards and those who have chosen Computer Science as their elective in the CBSE use the lab.
