Education is a debated subject all over the world, by the various stake holders, educationists, education administrators, teachers, parents and all others concerned with education. The objective of the whole education system which by all those engaged in the industry is two-fold. Firstly, it serves to provide the present needs of all children below 18 years and to lay foundation for the future growth and adaptation to new situations. Secondly, it serves to provide for the changing occupational needs of adults in the rapidly changing world. Today, the whole world has become a single unit or a single country considering the huge technological inventions and discoveries which are available to every one.
Education is a big industry. In such an industry is but a small cog, a vital cog, especially to the children, young people and adults each of whom share a personal tutor with others. Machines and equipment of all kinds make it possible for a child to be instructed in varied kinds of activities but personal development as a human being needs to establish contact with other human beings. It needs encouragements, a sense of belonging and a sense of being valuable. None of these can be provided by machines or through machines because education industry is so complex. The teaching profession within itself is very complex. The complexity from preparing material to guide and encourage children and adults students. To meet modern needs, the educational process has been divided into three concurrent parts, varying in emphasis according to each individual’s age and needs.
Firstly, a child’s nature and historic place of learning to be kept in mind. The historic place of learning in his own home. The immediate social needs are catered for by the family. Today, even sophisticated and specialized learning can take place at home.
Secondly, a child needs a group of people wider than his family group. He needs adults who are skilled in teaching or directing those activities which can be most profitably learnt in groups and by contacting other people such as theater, sports, games etc.
Thirdly, the tools and skills of learning are computers, visuals, telephone, televisions and programmed learning machines. Children and adults of all ages make use of this part in the education process.
The young mind develops by experiencing one’s day-to-day meeting with peer group, adults and through many other media. We, teachers, have a great challenge to meet all these changing attitudes and aspirations of youngsters. With involvement of parents, teachers and students, we could have a healthy group of students with positive thinking which will help them to be an understanding adult in future.

National Public School Jayanagar is a long-cherished dream come true to provide quality education in the heart of Jayanagar in Bangalore. Sarvodaya Education Society founded by Smt. Jayalakshmi Siddiah and NPS group founded by Dr. K. P. Gopalkrishna both came into existence in the year 1959. Both institutions have now collaborated to present our jewel in the crown “NPS Jayanagar”. With our collective experience and expertise, our aim is to provide a world class infrastructure in the heart of Jayanagar to provide holistic, purposeful and all-round education for our children in a vibrant, safe and positive environment with state-of-the-art facilities. NPS Jayanagar affiliated to the CBSE came into existence in 2017 and in a short span of time has established into an institution of repute.
Our school boasts of state-of-the-art infrastructure, spacious classrooms along with facilities like AV lab, health care, science lab, arts lab, math lab, humanities lab, resource rooms, computer labs along with safe transport facilities. Our new addition is a grand new sports infrastructure as well as a cookery lab. All these are the brainchild of our founder chairman and our dynamic principal who leads a team of excellent dedicated teachers and staff who make the institution blossom and flourish. The fundamental ethos of our school is not only academic development, which is routine, but building values of togetherness, confidence, honesty and moral values along with physical and mental development through sports and cultural events and to be on the forefront of innovation and technology by equipping our classrooms with interactive panels and learning through the internet. I thank our parents who have been the backbone who have invested their children in us and together we shall strive to reap rich dividends as we churn out responsible and creative individuals who are our future generation.

My advice to our children is never get discouraged if things do not work out the way you planned. You need to pick yourself up and try a different approach. We often stick with things we know, believe, or like to avoid risking failure. But if you never try differently, you will never know if you can achieve a better outcome or result. Your goal will be reached only through perseverance, consistency, and tireless practice.
The habits that are developed now will carry with you your entire life. When we work with a positive feeling and enjoy what we do, we lose the sense of time and only then can we be happy and totally feel content in our chosen path. With all our co-curricular activities, we give our children a chance to adapt to diversity, to share and teach what they learn. A place for finding oneself and enjoying what you do.

Centrally located, NPS Jayanagar is set on a total campus area of 2.5 acres.
We here at NPS Jayanagar house an extensive range of facilities that are available to the students which include a well equipped state of the art junior and senior computer lab, mathematics lab, humanities lab, science labs, two storey library, music room, dance studio, yoga studio, cookery lab and A.V. room.
We also pride ourselves with a plethora of skills that we impart to our children, as we believe that both Tradition and Modernisation should work symbiotically to create a well rounded child.
