Mothers Mission School is presently managed and run by Behala Mother Welfare Society (BMWS) under the overall supervision of a Board of Trustees.
Our Preamble
Mothers Mission School was established under the Behala Mother Welfare Society to honor and perpetuate the fond memory of Mother Teresa, our patroness and inspiration.
Our mission is to instill in our students a deep sense of social awareness, along with fostering habits of piety, diligence, perseverance, and hope.
Our Objective
We strive to provide students with a nurturing and comfortable environment where they can grow and realize their full potential. Our goal is to offer a holistic education that ensures the overall development of every student.
English Proficiency – A Key Focus
- Passing in English is mandatory.
- Students are encouraged to communicate in English within the school premises.
- Parents should ensure that children converse in English at home as well, reinforcing their learning and enhancing proficiency.
- Great emphasis is placed on the functional and communicative aspects of the language.
- Various competitions and activities such as quizzes, elocutions, storytelling, debates, and spelling bees are organized to refine students’ articulation, pronunciation, grammar, diction, and confidence.
- English forms the core of our curriculum, aiming to make students more outgoing and articulate in public life.
Socially Useful and Productive Work (SUPW) & Project Assignments
- SUPW and project work are integral parts of the evaluation and assessment system.
- To ensure quality execution, assignments should be evenly spaced throughout the academic year, avoiding last-minute rush.
- Parental support is encouraged, but without overshadowing students’ creativity and independence.
- Projects should complement academic work rather than interfere with it.
- The primary objective of project work is to ensure it remains a joyful, spontaneous, and engaging learning experience.
