Here's a breakdown of the Indus Valley World School (IVWS) admission process for the 2025-26 academic year:

General Information:

• Admissions are open from July 7, 2024.
• The entire application process is online.

IVWS, Kolkata Admission Process by All Grade Levels:

1. Playgroup, Nursery, Lower KG, Upper KG, and Grade I:

• Online Application: Fill out the online application form.
• Document Submission: Submit the form along with the required documents.
• Interaction with School Authorities: After submitting the form and documents, you'll receive an appointment for an interaction. Bring the original documents for verification at this meeting.

2. Grades II to IX:

• Online Application: Fill out the online application form 
• Document Submission: Submit the form along with the required documents.
• Admission Test: The school will schedule an admission test 
• Interaction with School Authorities: Candidates who pass the admission test will be called for an interaction with the school authorities and their parents. Bring the original documents for verification at this meeting.

3. Grade XI:

• Online Application: Fill out the online application form .
• Subject Combination Selection: Choose your subject combination for Grades XI-XII.
• Document Upload: Upload your Class IX Final Report Card and Class X Half Yearly Report Card (if available).
• Eligibility Test (if applicable): Candidates applying for Science and/or Mathematics streams may need to take an eligibility test.
• Second Language (subject to CBSE circular): The school is awaiting CBSE clarification on the compulsory second language. If not compulsory, it will be offered as an optional subject in Group 6.

• Group 1 (Compulsory): 301 English Core

• Group 4 (Choose ONE): 041 Mathematics / 048 Physical Education / 028 Political Science / 064 Home Science
• Group 5 (Choose ONE): 044 Biology / 083 Computer Science / 030 Economics / 037 Psychology
• Group 6 (Optional - Choose ONE, if available): 002 Hindi / 105 Bengali / 065 Informatics Practices

Important Notes for Grade XI:

• Only ONE subject can be selected from each group.
• Informatics Practices and Computer Science cannot be taken together.

Documents Required at Indus Valley World School,  Pancha Sayar, Kolkata 

 (Playgroup to Grade IX):

• Photocopy of Birth Certificate
• Color photographs of the child and parents
• Blood Group Certificate
• Photocopy of PAN card (of either parent)
• Aadhaar Card of parent (either one) and student (if available)
• Health Certificate from a registered medical practitioner
• Photocopy of last Report card (if applicable)
• Transfer Certificate (if applicable)

School Timings:

• 7:20 am to 12:30 pm (regular classes)
• 7:20 am to 1:30 pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for students with optional subjects)
