Pre – primary kids learn through MS Paint and various videos selected for their viewing by their teachers. At G.D. Goenka International School there has been a raise teaching-learning-working by upgrading ourselves to the new technology and looking to contemporary technological standards. There are 200 computers in our labs currently. Every child gets his own computer to work on guided by his mentor. The computers in the labs have been upgraded withappropriate software to enable students to compile and run programs in Java with net beans and C++ along with Flash-8 applications as per the syllabus. The Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior Computer Labs, on the other hand, enable students to learn VB.net, Corel Draw, Java, Adobe Flash, Kid pix, Logo, Paintbrush, MS-Office, etc. In addition, the school has a computerized mathematics laboratory. To ensure safety and security of our children we have established a system which keeps parents informed regarding entry and exit timings of their children from school premises. All buses are equipped with GPS. GPS enables 24/7 real time vehicle tracking. Visibility, current location, speed, distance and routes can be monitored to provide further safety and security to children. Our School cafeteria is a cafeteria intended for school students, teachers and the management. The cafeteria is a part of school premises. A certain meal plan is followed according to diet regime of the students. On daily basis, the calorie/carbohydrate/fat, etc intake is taken into account.The school offers food-serving counters/stalls, in a line. Periodical Health-check ups are a regular feature and the students are also motivated towards healthy eating. The school believes in teaching healthy food habits to the students for a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Our Medical Room is for minor ailments such as a headache, stomach ache, toothache and general first aid and is open every day for students to access. The teacher in the class is capable of analyzing the medical exigency and refers him to the medical nurse. If an ambulance is required for a child then the parent/guardian is contacted. The child will always be accompanied to hospital by a member of staff if the parent/guardian cannot get to the school in time.
