At St. Joseph’s School, Saharanpur, we introduced a curriculum that provides children with an opportunity to learn and play musical instruments, and express thoughts in a creative and artistic way.

The School has excellent residence facilities, Life in ST. Joseph’s School. It constitutes of Academic block, Residential blocks and Activity areas – one each for the senior boys (Grades 9 to 12), the junior boys (Grades 4 to 8) and girls (Grades 4 to 12). The St. Joseph’s School, has a gym and fitness room, badminton courts, table tennis, carom board, chess as well as the use of the multipurpose hall for basketball. Each residential block has three floors with adequate space, ventilation and Wi-Fi facility. Each suite has 2 rooms which are shared by eight students. These rooms are furnished with cupboards, single beds and separate study tables for inculcating independence while encouraging bonding in a shared zone. A team of teachers live in the residences, ensuring that students always have access to someone responsible. Each floor has a House parent round-the-clock, to look in to the needs of every child. They are seasoned to handle the students with great care and kindness. All staff has a role in supporting students; indeed we share the responsibility for ensuring students are safe and that their welfare is promoted. Security of the campus is maintained at highest level with security guards and supervisors on duty “24/7”.They ensure that no student leaves the campus without authorized permission from the Head of Boarding. he residential blocks are conveniently located on either side of cafeteria and school bakery, so that students can just walk across. We have very highly experienced kitchen staffs, who prepare a wide variety of full meals every day: breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. All meals served are supervised by the House parents and/or teachers. We serve nutritiously balanced, non-vegetarian, vegetarian & Jain meals, in a self-service dining hall. A Food Committee consisting of staff, students & faculty, creates menus that are diverse and ever changing to include student preferences. Fresh fruit & salads are served and multi cuisine food is offered to break the monotony and allow children to develop a taste for all kinds of food.

The team of medical personnel includes a resident, full-time qualified doctor and an experienced, caring nurse, who work day and night. If a student is in need of further medical attention, upon advice of the resident doctor, he/she is taken to the hospital for special care and the child’s parents/guardians are informed immediately.

The school library aims at inculcating reading habits in children. The library acts as a knowledge bank with a wide variety of books ranging from fictional to non-fictional and reference books. The school has a well stocked library with 11,949 books. The students are encouraged to make reading a part of their daily activity. Newspaper, journals, encyclopedia, dictionary etc are available for students and teachers to stay updated with latest news and events.

Art is process of learning that makes children develop technical skills and evolve ideas right from the initial stage of problem solving till they reach the solution. Art stimulates imagination. To watch a child completely engrossed in arts is to recognize that the brain is active and driven by aesthetics and emotions, to make meaning, state opinions and represent what matters to them.
