St Helen School is a well known among the English Medium Schools of Kolkata, which aims to fulfill the aspirations of the students… with a zeal for excellence. The School was founded on the 3rd of January, 1969, at Mudiali, in Tollygunge and it is run by Basanta Kumar Sarojbasini Memorial Education Society. Thereafter the School has acquired its affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, (I.C.S.E. & I.S.C.) in Science and Commerce streams. On 21st July 2001, Ms. Gita Talukdar, founder member of the School, had handed over the responsibilities to Mr. Tapas Dasgupta due to her old age and illness. Since then the present Rector-Secretary has enabled an all-round development of the School by dint of his sincerity, honesty and dynamism. This has eventually established St. Helen as a Premier Educational Institution of the academic circle of the city. Efficient administration by the authorities, active co-operation of the students,their guardians and well wishers over the years, have helped the School in its smooth journey towards success. Prompted by an ever increasing student enrollment,the School has now spread its branches in areas of Tollygunge and Sonarpur.Every year a large number of students pass through the Council Examinations with flying colours and establish themselves in dffferent spheres of life. OUR VISION Together we will inspire a love of learning and help all children to achieve their personal goals, now and in the future. OUR MISSION To make St.Helen school a home away from home, educating and preparing children to meet the challenges of tomorrow,. to provide a conducive environment for children to develop not only academically but also harmoniusly to create an environment which enables every child entrusted in our care to mature into a resourceful disciplined, self confident, optimistic, and responsible person. To provide an opportunity to every individual to show their skills, talents and nurture leadership qualities and civic sense.
