The Ashram had a dream of erecting one more “temple of learning” that is Shreevallabh Ashram English Medium School. The spark of this dream was ignited by Swami Shri Chaitanya Swarupdasji. He collected the data about the educational needs of the Gujarati community in Sion. And thus with a mission, determined aim and incredible ideas our school started functioning in the year 1989 with two classes (Nursery and Jr.K.G.). Children from all walks of life, irrespective of caste and creed could come and be enlightened. When the aim is sure and swift, any target becomes just another mile stone. In this mission Mrs.P. B. Rajan assisted Swamiji as an Educational Advisor for 10 years from 1991. She dedicated her services and experience to the full extent for the development of the school. At present the school has on its record around 900 students. The school has a very efficient principal Mrs. Rosy R. Singh whose sincere efforts with the well experienced teaching staff has formed a respectable image in the educational field in Mumbai. The year 2001 bears a major significance for the school as this year saw its fructification from a tiny seed to a sapling it turned into a tree bearing its first fruits. The first batch of twenty two students was sent up for the Secondary School Certificate Examination (S.S.C.). With bated breath all waited for the results and it was a triumphant moment when the school secured 100% result on 19th June 2001. “Love’s labour is never lost” and this point was proved – without any doubt. With spirits soaring high it is time to put one’s shoulders to the yoke, for we have miles to go . The school has a well-equipped laboratory and a well-stocked library. Every year, we are making them richer and more useful. We have a spacious library-cum drawing hall which is a great boon in making the school a full-fledged and well-knit unit. We have also built up our K.G. Section to the best of our ability. We are sure, it ranks among the best Kinder Gartens in Mumbai. It is also our plan to run the primary class on K.G. model. The school timings are from 7.15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m & from 1.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. every day except Sunday & Bank holidays.
