Cdr (Dr) Praveen Kumar Pola, Indian Navy

Principle

Commander Praveen Kumar Pola took over the command of Sainik School East Siang on 02 Sep 21, is an Education branch Officer of the Indian Navy, commissioned on 12 Jan 2004, He hails from Telangana, his has undergone schooling and college in erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh. The Officer’s qualifications include B.Tech and M.Tech both in Chemical Engineering, and MBA in Finance & Project Management. A certified instructor for Direct Trainer Skills, Organisational Behaviour and Indian Naval Training. The Officer undergone different in-service specialization courses, namely, Information Technology Managers (ITM), Naval Communication Network (NCN) and Information Security (InfoSec). The Officer was part of the premier organisations ISRO and DRDO as a Scientist prior joining the Indian Navy.

The Officer has served onboard various ships INS Krishna, INS Ranjit, INS Trishul, INS Ranvijay, and in different training establishments of the Indian Navy, namely Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Naval Institute of Educational & Training Technology at Kochi. The Officer has also served in various strategic and software projects of the Ministry of Defence. For his contribution and distinguished naval service he has been awarded commendations by Chief of the Naval Staff and Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Naval Command.The Officer awarded Arunachal Pradesh State Award on the occasion of Statehood Day for his meritorious service to the State.

The Officer married to Dr. Gayathri Praveen, a qualified Dentist, serving as a Drug Safety Physician (DSP) in the domain of Pharmaco Vigilance for M/s. Sun Pharma Ltd. She worked at AF Stn Hospital, Begumpet and ECHS, Kochi and different clinics in Hyderabad. The couple is having two children, daughter Laxmi Sahasra, 11 years old and son, Ram Shaurya, 05 years old. The Officer is a good sports person, Squash player and Half Marathon runner participated in various official marathon events and in-service competitions. He loves reading books on spirituality & leadership, practices yoga & meditation. The couple enjoys long drives and is adventurous in exploring culture and trends of every part of India.

Sainik School East Siang (SSES), Arunachal Pradesh has been raised on 27 August 2018 as a 28 th Sainik School of India. SSES is a residential school for Boys & Girls (Cadets) towards providing Public School Education along with Military orientation an intake at Class VI and Class IX. The aim of Sainik School East Siang is to prepare young boys and girls to join Defence Services, namely National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and all other military academies. The School is spread over 100 acres near the banks of Sille River, located at Niglok village. By road 6 kms away from Ruksin, near Arunachal-Assam Boarder. Murkongselek is the nearest railway station, situated approximately 10 kms from the school, and private taxi services are available for commuting. Nearest Airport is Pasighat at a distance of 35 kms from the school.
