Colonel Reema Sobti
Principal
An alumnus of Delhi University and JNU, Colonel Reema Sobti was an archeologist, prior to Joining the Army, and has excavated at the famous Harappan sites of Dholavira and Rakhgarhi. She was commissioned into Indian Army in 2001 and is not only Gold Medalist of her course but also amongst the first 10 lady officers to be selected for permanent commission in 2010. With a service experience of more than two decades, the officer has a rich service background and served in various field and peace locations in different parts of the country across North East and Jammu and Kashmir.
She has served as UN military observer with united nations peace keeping forces at Congo and led the Indian contingent in the joint Indo-Nepal Women Officers' 'Ecological Himalayan Trek' conducted in Nepal as a joint adventure activity between the two nations.
Being in the Army Education Corps, she has a rich experience of education management in armed forces and has served as an instructor in the prestigious Officers Training Academy Chennai and at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun as well as Rashtriya Military School Bangalore. She assumed the appointment of Principal Sainik School Ambikapur recently in July this year.
She has been awarded with three service commendation cards for distinguished service in Indian Army in 2008, 2013 and 2018 respectively and young achievers award 2022-23 for service to the Nation by YFLO of FICCI.

Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) P Sreenivas, Vice Principal, Sainik School Ambikapur, brings extensive experience and dedication to his role. Hailing from Nizamabad district in Telangana State, Lt Col (Dr) Sreenivas has a distinguished academic and professional background. He holds B.Ed,MPhil and PhD in Psychology, reflecting his deep commitment to education and mental health.
Commissioned into the Army Education Corps on 10 December, 2005, Lt Col(Dr)P Sreenivas has served at some of the most challenging locations including Siachen and Ladakhandalso hadprestigious postings like, Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun and the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.Besides his instructional duties, the officerhas played a crucial role as a Psychological Counsellor at both IMA and OTA Chennai by providing invaluable support to cadets. Officer, also had an opportunity to serve as‘Technical Officer’ (Psychologist) at the 21 SSB Bhopal, where he was involved in selecting the future officers of Indian Army.
For his dedication and exemplary service, Lt Col(Dr) P. Sreenivas has been awarded with the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ARTRAC Commendation Card.
Officer, is happily married to Mrs. Rajeshwari, and together they have two sons, Reyansh, who is in class four, and Devansh, in class two. His family is a source of great pride and support as he continues to contribute to the development of future leaders at Sainik School Ambikapur

The Mathematics Deptt. consist of Mr MSN Raju , Mr Raj Kumar ,Mr S K Pandey , Mr T S Rao and Mr TNM Rao. The department aims to spread a love for Mathematics by inspiring the students to foster an ability for logical thinking and sound reasoning. The department has a Mathematics Laboratory also. The concept of Mathematics Laboratory has attracted the notice of subject experts and the educationists all over the country. The laboratory has well-equipped Mathematical instruments i.e. charts, 3D figures, cylinder, right circular cone, sphere etc for concept based learning.

The Hindi Vibhag is headed by Mr Ravindra Tiwari. The department in addition to the primary job of teaching also prepares cadets for various co-curricular activities like debates, declamations and writing skills. Consisting of the Head and Mr AM Tripathi and Mr. Rajesh Kumar in Hindi and Mr SK Jain in Sanskrit, the department nurtures cadets in building up a healthy and dynamic personality worthy of serving the nation.

A well equipped laboratory with a centralized gas supply system has just come up in the department to cater to the dual purpose of demonstration for junior classes and for practicals at the senior level. Sainik School Ambikapur started functioning with effect from 1st September 2008. The Sainik Schools are a system of schools in India conceived in 1961 by V. K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India and established by the MoD under the aegis of the School Society to rectify the regional and class imbalance amongst the Officer cadre of the Indian Armed Forces, by preparing students for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune. Today there are 33 such schools covering almost all the states of the country.
