MES International School, Pattambi, established in 1978, is a pioneering institution dedicated to providing quality education, especially to those who have been traditionally deprived of it. Sponsored by the Muslim Educational Society (MES), Calicut, and managed by its local unit, our school began humbly with KG classes in a thatched shed. Over the decades, it has grown into a premier educational institution in Kerala.
We received permanent recognition for the Lower Primary section in 1985 and for Upper Primary in 1993. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi (Affiliation No: 930072) since 1992, MES International School is also a major CBSE Examination Centre in Palakkad District, catering to students from nearly 10 schools every year.
Our school takes pride in being the first in Kerala to introduce fully digitalized SMART Classrooms, inaugurated by the then Chief Minister, Mr. Oommen Chandy, in 2005. This innovation has revolutionized the learning experience, enhancing both teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
We also achieved a milestone by becoming the first MES school to receive ISO Certification in 2007, in the presence of Mr. K. Sankaranarayanan, then Governor of Nagaland. The same year, the school was recognized as a Minority Educational Institution by the Government of India.
In our pursuit of holistic education, we introduced Montessori education in 2007, complete with a specially designed activity room. Our ambitious ‘House of Children’ Montessori block—an advanced, fully equipped facility—marks another leap forward in our early childhood education.
Innovation continues with the adoption of the X-Seed Program for Grades IV–VII, emphasizing experiential, concept-driven learning. We also launched SRP (School Resource Planning) Software in 2010 and online fee payment facilities in 2011, empowering parents with real-time access to their child’s academic and extracurricular development.
To maintain a disciplined and secure environment, we’ve implemented a comprehensive surveillance system with CCTV and broadcast technology across the campus.
