Loyola High School is a Catholic institution established and administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of Kolkata. Established in 1961 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese, it functions within the rights and powers granted to religious and linguistic minorities by the Constitution of India (Art. 29 and 30). School is recognized by Education Dept of Govt of West Bengal and under Anglo Indian Board of West Bengal and affiliated to the Indian School Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, Delhi. It is an English medium school for boys, offering ICSE (Indian Council of Secondary Education, Delhi) and ISC (Indian School Certificate, Delhi) for Commerce and Arts. It caters to students from classes 1-12. Bengali or Hindi is taught as second language from class 1. Apart from prescribed Council subjects, the curriculum includes Religious Instructions (for Catholics), Moral Science (for Non-Catholics), Singing, Computer Science, etc are optional.
