A big part of being at an international school is learning to live and thrive in a multicultural environment. At KIS we lay a lot of emphasis on the residential aspect of our schooling. Our residential program goes much beyond being a mere boarding facility; it is a critical part of the holistic KIS experience. See More See Less
Students eagerly look forward to such occasions that allow them to have a good time while unconsciously building skills of all sorts. The fact that this happens without them actively realising it, since the prime focus is fun, is what makes it so special. Whether it be students rushing in teams from one clue to another to them negotiating tricky obstacles on the way to the finish line during the KIS Amazing Race, some of their best memories are made around these activities. The wide ranging choice of clubs and activities that students can participate in ensures that varied interests are nurtured. There is something for everyone! See More See Less
Each year kicks off with events that are organized around the student residences to help our new students with settling in. Students from other residences are invited over for food and activities, which help new and old students to bond over different activities. Some of the main school events that are organized during the year are Proms, Formals, Christmas Banquet, Music Concerts, Kodi Unplugged, Quad Shot, Canteen (dance), Game Nights (sports and otherwise), Obstacle Courses, Amazing Race, Carnivals, Residence Nights, Inter-Residence Dance and Talent Shows. Sometimes to break the monotony of location, things like Sleepover at Bendy and Night-walks around Kodai are planned. Older students are also sometimes taken for outstation trips to watch special films or visit shopping malls. See More See Less
