Boarding
There are exclusive hostel buildings for boys and girls adjacent to the school building. Each dormitory has a warden’s room. There may be 10 - 15 students in a dorm. Each student gets a single bed and a cabinet close to the bed for safe-keeping of personal things. Provision is made to hang the blazers and uniforms ready for use the next day. See More See Less

Dining
There is a huge Dining Hall 100 ft by 50 ft with no pillars in the middle. This is an engineering marvel. The hall is constructed with heavy iron structures. It can comfortably seat 800 people to dine at a time. The kitchen attached to the dining hall is a modern and hygienic one. Most of the cooking is on steam, with the help of a solar water heater and biogas. A biogas plant is constructed near the kitchen area. Besides, there is a bakery and a mineral water plant as part of the kitchen and dining area. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served in the dining hall. Classroom
The academic block is a two-storied building with a broad central verandah and a central rectangular courtyard. The classrooms are very spacious. The furniture is specially designed to accommodate only 24 students in an area of 600 sq. ft. Sports
Due to wet weather conditions, particularly during the six months of monsoon, outdoor games may not be possible round the year. Yet, the school has provided for highest standards of synthetic basket ball, tennis, badminton, football courts etc. A 10 line Olympic size swimming pool will be ready for 2017-18. The sporting infrastructure at DPIRSK is an extensive facility.
