The hostel has House Parents in charge of the functioning, administration, and discipline of the hostel. Students deal with their house parents in the way they treat their parents; interacting with them, reporting to them.

The School’s spacious grounds are attractively landscaped with carefully selected trees, bushes and flowering plants, creating a welcoming environment and providing pleasant meeting places for pupils during breaks.AIS offers its students a chance to learn and excel in a wide variety of sporting related activities. The students involve themselves in various indoor as well as outdoor activities by keeping the notion in mind that “The healthy mind remains in a healthy body”.These include athletics, football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, throw ball, badminton, table tennis and chess. There is a dedicated time set aside every day in order to pursue these activities.

The school has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology. These laboratories give the students extensive practical experience to supplement the theoretical lessons learnt in the classroom.

In addition to containing books to meet the demand of the students and the faculty, the school library has a good stock of electronics knowledge material including CD/DVD ROMs, Audio Video cassettes, tapes, films, etc. The library is equipped with textbooks, reference books and storybooks.

The School has its own fleet of buses to pick students from any destination in dehradun. Each bus has a driver, conductor who is provided with mobile phone for the easy access of the parents along with complete safety and security of the children.
