Sadhbhavana is committed to promoting healthy food habits amongst our students and maintaining high nutritional standards while selecting the menu. Student feedback is also ascertained while offering delicious and satisfying menu options. Utmost care is taken to ensure the segregation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Meal times at Sadhbhavana are also great for informal bonding opportunities among students and staff. The menu is carefully planned in consultation with the in-house dietician. The school offers two freshly cooked, hygienically prepared, wholesome meals (breakfast and lunch) in our dining hall every working day. The menu includes a varied, balanced and tasty assortment of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. While focusing on a healthy diet, etiquette and table manners are also taught to students right from the kindergarten level.

We have all heard the phrase “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. However, we have never deep dived into the phrase. It is a direct indicator that eating healthy ensures a healthy life with less illness. Eating healthy is a lifestyle we need to adopt when we are young. As a school, it becomes imperative that we ensure the students get to eat healthy food and form healthy habits. Sadhbhavana kitchen has been set up with this aim in mind. The Sadhbhavana Kitchen is equipped with state of the art appliances and is headed by an expert gourmet chef. With sparkling clean spaces and well-experienced staff, the kitchen churns out the most hygienic, healthy and tasty food. The kitchen does not use any additives, artificial flavours and chemicals like Ajinomoto that could be potentially harmful to children.

Dr. K E Harish

CEO

A certificate holder of Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education in School Management and Leadership, Dr. K. E. Harish, has been in the forefront of educational change management for over two decades. With a Doctorate in Political Science, M.Phil. in Education, MBA in Human Resource Management, he is associated with some of the best schools in Kerala as a leader or management committee member or on an advisory level. He is also a First Rank holder of Calicut University in B.A Political Science. Dr. K. E. Harish embarked on his professional career in the US-Saudi Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, working there for six years. Education beckoned him back to India and he became the Principal of WMO English Academy, a CBSE Senior Secondary School in Wayanad, Kerala. He soon changed course and took charge as the CEO of a proposed deemed University project called the Social Advancement Foundation of India (SAFI), which was being stablished on a vast campus near Calicut Airport. He was pivotal in the completion of its first phase in 2005. He then went on to establish one of India’s reputed and widely recognized educational organizations – Sadhbhavana Group. The group runs under it one of the top 10 schools in the country – Sadhbhavana World School. It also has a band of other school-related organizations which include an early childhood curriculum and consultancy division. Besides being the CEO of Sadhbhavana Group, he is also the CEO of the Eminence Private School, Fujairah, UAE, CEO of Centre for Research in Education and Teachers Training (an initiative with the Govt. of Kerala), CEO of Sadhbhavana Institute for Research in Education and Vice President of Early Childhood Association, India. Dr. Harish has won several awards in his journey as an educator. As an expert in management processes and policies, Ms Sushma Nalapat has over 10 years’ experience in the field of management. Her proficiency includes general administration and project coordination beside budgeting, human resource management and logistics. She played an active role in the setting up process of Sadhbhavana World School as well as its administration. She presently holds the position of Head – Operations of Sadhbhavana Group. She plays a key role in screening and setting up administrative processes, policies and systems in its many projects and is actively involved in business development and strategy formation. She also holds a B.Ed in early childhood education from New Zealand Tertiary College and heads Sadhbhavana’s early childhood program – Sadhbhavana Foundation Years where she is actively involved in curriculum development and delivery, and business liaisons.

Way back in 2005, when a group of enlightened souls came together with a single vision of bringing on to the soils of India a school that was like no other – unique in concept and approach, Sadhbhavana World School came into being. They realized that every school has three common takeaways – intellectual content, humane content and social content. However, some schools are mediocre, some good and some are great. What is that distinguishing factor that makes schools great? So began their quest – they visited some of the best schools in India and abroad, to research what makes a school great. This study gave then 444 quality components of a great school. They also realized that no school has all of them at the same level. While in some schools academics is “great”, in another administrative systems are and yet again in another the infrastructure. Nevertheless the group decided to strive to make as many as possible in the “great” category at Sadhbhavana and thus the 444 quality components were divided into 10 distinct baskets based on the broad category they belong to. With this wealth of knowledge and a vision to make the school one of the top 10 schools in the country over a period of 10 years, Sadhbhavana World School was established in 2008.Situated on an expansive campus spanning 29 acres, Sadhbhavana World School soon established itself as a unique school in the city of Calicut within a few years itself.
