C.N.M. SCHOOL & N. D. PAREKH PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL was the first English medium school started by SVKM in 1997. It was the dream project of Late Shri Mukeshbhai Patel, since SVKM was running several colleges but had only one vernacular medium school.His Mission was taken forward by Shri BalwantraiSheth and Shri Vivek Vaidya. Mrs. LataMunjal was the first Principal of the institution. Under the valuable guidance and support of Shri Amrishbhai Patel CNM school has achieved great progress in the field of academics and co-curricular activities. The state-of-the-art infrastructure has been planned and developed under the able guidance of Shri Bhupeshbhai Patel. The school started with 25 students, 1 teacher and 1 support staff in a small place atGokhalibai School, Vile Parle in June 1997. The school commenced with a Junior KG section with Mrs. Cheryl Mukkath as their teacher. The very next year the strength of the school grew to 154 students and by 2005 the strength was 3975 with eight divisions in each standard from nursery to standard ten. After two years of its inception in 1999 the school got its new building, with the latest amenities for the students. The first batch of ICSE students passed out in 2003 with 22 students. The first batch of ISC students passed out in 2016with 17students. The school has attained outstanding academic results at the ICSE Board exams having students being topper at State level in 2006, National Topper in the years 2013 and 2015. Mrs. Girija Mohan took over as the Principal from 2006 under whose stewardship, the school grew from strength to strength. In 2015, Mrs. Girija Mohan was promoted as the Director of Schools at SVKM and Mrs. Sangita Kukreti took over and the academics of the school got further cemented with latest technologies and new developments. In 2019, Mrs. Kavita Sanghvi stepped into the role of the Principal and introduced new concepts like ‘STEAM’, ‘Coding’ & ‘Global Outlook’ within the curriculum. The school has been accomplishing great heights wherein it achieved the NABET Accreditation from the Quality Council of India in May 2020 and the International Dimension in School Certificate from British Council in January 2021. Today with a team of 3056 students, 175 teaching staff, 12 office staff and 20 support staff, the school excels in all facets at every medium offering a modern, holistic and integrated system of education that moulds its students into free thinkers who can easily function as global citizens.
