The pandemic has put education on hold. Many schools and colleges have been closed for almost a year now. In many places, schools and colleges are gradually being reopened, but only in phases.
In Karnataka, schools had been reopened for classes 9 to 12 earlier this year to help the students preparing for their upcoming board exams. As the second phase of reopening schools, schools in Karnataka will be reopened for students of classes 6-8 from February 22. However, this second phase of reopening does not apply to schools in the Kerala-Karnataka border and Bengaluru city as the pandemic is yet to be controlled.
However, the schools being reopened will have to follow all Covid-related precautions. The usage of masks and social distancing will also have to be compulsorily followed in these schools to ensure maximum safety.
