After facing criticism from societies, unions, and dancers for its ECA decision, DU has released a new notification regarding ECA admissions.
The Delhi University notification says that all 14 categories of last year have been included for admissions in the ECA category for the UG courses. These categories are — Creative Writing, Dance, Theatre, Music(Instrumental Indian), Music(Instrumental Western), Music(Vocal), Fine Arts, Debate, Quiz, Digital Media, NCC, NSS, Divinity, Yoga.
The ECA category application process will start from 1st August. The aspirants can apply by doing a payment of Rs 100 as few. The university release mentioned that,"
Admissions under ECA will be done based on the Merit/ Participation certificates of the applicants. The applicants would be required to upload a maximum of Best Five certificates of the preceding three years (May 1, 2017- April 30, 2020),”

Depending on various factors which include whether they have participated in competitions and at which level, whether they have received training and for how much time, the candidates would be marked out of 100.
