As per an official order, schools in Goa are set to reopen from February 21 for classes 1-12.
Citing a dip in Covid cases, schools have been instructed to reopen their doors for physical classes following proper Covid guidelines and SOPs.
"As Covid-19 cases are reducing day by day in the state, it is decided by the competent authority to re-open all the educational institutions from Std 1 to Std 12 from February 21 by following Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and as per SOP guidelines enclosed," the order said.
Earlier Goa schools were supposed to stay shut from Jan 4 to Jan 26, but the rise in Omicron cases forced a postponement for the reopening of educational institutes.
Goa now joins the long list of states including Delhi, UP, and Chandigarh who decided to reopen their schools starting from Feb 14.
