LASS NURSERY

An advertisement for admission to Nursery class and schedules for the same are given in the daily newspapers in the month of August/ September. Parents are required to fill the admission forms and submit them to the school by the given date. Short listed candidates and their parents are called for an interactive session on specified dates. The shortlisted candidates will be intimate regarding the date of interactive session. Due to the limited number of seats available, all applicants may not be accommodated.

Class KG to IX

Parents seeking admission for their ward from Classes KG to IX are required to apply in the months of February/March. Admission in these classes is subject to vacancies in the class for which the admission is sought.

Class XI INTERNAL STUDENTS

Provisional Allotment of streams for internal candidates will be based on their performance in the Pre-Board Examination.
The students in class XI have the choice of opting for an additional subject.

EXTERNAL STUDENTS

External students can apply for admission after the announcement of the Board results. They shall be accommodated subject to the vacancy available, depending on the grades required for the Stream.

It is truly a pleasure and privilege to address the children and parents of our school. Children are a precious gift from God. Each child is unique and may develop different habits and attitudes, even within the same family. As parents, our responsibility is to guide them by being good role models. More than anything, children need love, care, and attention. When they don’t find this at home, they may seek it elsewhere and sometimes fall into bad company, leading to lasting pain for both them and their families. Spending quality time with children is more important than giving them expensive gifts. A happy child is one who feels loved and valued, not necessarily one who has the most toys. Though many parents need to work hard to support their families, it’s important not to let work come at the cost of time with their children. Discipline, though difficult, is necessary and must be done with love and firmness. Giving in to every demand may seem like love, but it often leads to harm. As the Bible says in Proverbs 29:15, “To discipline a child produces wisdom, but a mother is disgraced by an undisciplined child.” Children must be raised with values, not just trained to chase money or success. To the children, I say: love and obey your parents, and do not let peer pressure lead you down the wrong path. Remember, there is no shortcut to true success. Keep God first in your life, and everything else will fall into place. May God bless every child and parent and help them become shining examples in our community.

In the middle of a vast, barren stretch of land stood a single tree—our only landmark. That was our plot, our beginning. What followed became history. The land was blessed, plans were approved, the foundation was laid, and brick by brick, Somerville School, Greater NOIDA, took shape. It became the first school in a brand-new township, ready to welcome its first students. There were doubts—who would want to come to such a remote, unpopulated place so far from NOIDA? But our faith kept us going. We believed that what God had led us to do would succeed, because He had been with us every step of the way. The journey began in 1998 with our first group of little children and a handful of teachers who travelled 25 km daily from NOIDA. This committed team worked tirelessly, overcoming challenges and building strong relationships with students and parents who trusted us from the start. Their belief in the name of Somerville gave us the foundation we needed. Today, Somerville School, Greater NOIDA, stands as a proud and respected institution with over 2100 students, 103 teachers, 9 administrative staff, and 100 support staff. Under the leadership of our Principal, Dr. Mary Thomas, a CBSE Awardee, and a dedicated teaching team, our students continue to shine in academics, sports, performing arts, and co-curricular activities. We are proud of each one of them and those who guide them. With God's grace, we have come a long way—and with His continued guidance, we will keep growing and giving our best.

By the Providence of God, Somerville School, Greater NOIDA, began its journey on 2nd July 1998 with just 69 students and 2 teachers, bringing education to a place where there were no schools. Today, by His grace, we have grown into a thriving institution with over 2100 students, 103 teachers, and a dedicated team of administrative and support staff. Each year, we strive for excellence, knowing that perfection is not a destination but a journey that demands continuous effort, collaboration, and a spirit of selflessness. At Somerville, we believe that education is not just about academics but about building character and nurturing values like kindness, compassion, and, most importantly, empathy. In a world often filled with negativity and division, empathy enables our students to connect deeply, make wise choices, and stand strong against harmful influences. Through stories of inspirational leaders like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Martin Luther King Jr., we aim to raise the Empathy Quotient in every child. Somerville School, Greater NOIDA was established on 2 July 1998 by the Lott Carey Baptist Mission in India. The School is administered by The Lott Carey Baptist Mission in India. It is an unaided Christian Minority School affiliated to the CBSE Board. The foundation stone for the School was laid on 12th January 1995 by Mr. Ravi Mathur I.A.S. Chairman of Greater NOIDA Industrial Development Authority. We have the distinction of being the first public School of repute in the area - a fact which was recognized by the Greater NOIDA Authority on its Founder’s Day. Principal Dr. Mary Thomas is the proud recipient of CBSE Teacher’s Award 2013. She is also the CBSE City Coordinator for Greater NOIDA Schools.

The School has a beautiful and imposing building with the green and sprawling campus spread over an area of 5.75 acres. The garden has many varieties of trees and plants including a herb garden. To conserve water the School has its own Water Harvesting System. The School campus has CCTV surveillance for the safety of the students, along with the Public Address System.

The School aims at holistic development of the learners through various co curricular activities and academics. The aim of the institution is to instill a strong value system which helps our students to be equipped with life skills.

The School believes in keeping abreast with modern education and has state of the art equipment for the benefit of the students. Every classroom is equipped with smart boards giving access to digital learning to the students. The School has fully equipped Science laboratories, Mathematics laboratories managed by NIIT, Computer Laboratories for Junior School and Senior School. There are also two well equipped libraries for Junior School and Senior School. There is a Basketball court, Football field, Cricket ground and Volleyball court. There is also a Play Station for junior children.

The School has its own fleet of buses with trained drivers and conductors. Education free of cost is imparted to students belonging to economically weaker section of society. An efficient and highly qualified faculty at our School has ensured 100% result in the board examinations over the years. Various activities are held through the year to provide a platform to engage students by honing their potential. Sports, cultural and literary activities hosted in the School encourage 100% participation of the students. The School organizes and hosts annual Inter-School cultural event ‘ Expressions’ and W.C. Inter-School Football Tournament held annually. These provide a platform for students from the neighbouring Schools to interact with each other.
