Sane Guruji Vidyalaya is one of the premier educational institute in Dadar, Mumbai City. It is run by the Nava Balodyan Trust. Our beloved founder Late Shri Prakashbhai Mohadikar sir started the Marathi medium way back in 1956. The school initially was small, a few classrooms in the “PARIMAL” building near Shivaji Park. Over the years with his unwavering commitment to education and his love for children started bearing fruits and the school gained popularity. As the number grew the old campus was insufficient and the school moved to its new and current premises in the year -1968. The Marathi medium school produced many fine alumni who are excelling in different fields today. The school started its first English medium division in the year 2008 with a strength of 65 to 70 students. In succeeding years more classes were added and the student number rose every year to its present strength of around 1570 students. We at SGEMS follow SSC BOARD for classes right from Nursery to Standard 10. 2018-19 our First SSC batch appeared and passed out with flying colours. The school has many outstanding facilities including an excellent science laboratory. The students are allowed to carry out various experiments and learn the fundamental principles governing it. The school has a computer lab with 50 computers, where the students are given basic technical knowledge. The students are also taught to develop literary skills, artistic interpretation by encouraging them to participate in the inhouse and interschool competitions. Special efforts are taken for drawing and craft activities. A well-equipped library with more than 10000 books on various subjects are available for students to improve and develop their knowledge. The school is also adopting the new teaching method supported by the latest technology like (New software for communication) and has set up overhead projectors in every classroom. We are also upgrading ourselves by constantly learning and developing latest practices in the field of education. Special school committees are formed to discuss and speedy implementation of required changes. We also treat all the parents from different socio-economic classes equal and encourage them to focus on the total development of their wards. We strongly believe that the educational values will make them best equipped to face the new and competitive world. We want to groom our students to be sensible, trustworthy good sound men and women the world can depend on. With utmost sincerity and commitment from the management, teachers and all the staff members we have begun our journey on the path of excellence in education and would like all our dear students and parents to be a part of this amazing journey.
