Maruthi Vidyalaya (MV) is managed by qualified and experienced educationists and administrators. It began functioning at Subbayanapalya , Banaswadi, Bangalore -560033 in the year 1978 as a "Nursery School" in a very small room. Smt Saroja Ganesh the "Founder Secretary & Correspondent" was the sole teacher. Thus it began as a " Single Teacher" Vidyalaya. Government of Karnataka , accorded its recognition in 1979. Adding one additional class each academic year, it grew steadily from “Nursery to Primary and from Primary to High School”. Right from its inception in 1978, Maruthi Vidyalaya has dedicatedly and relentlessly worked for the cause of education and rural upliftment. It celebrated its “Silver Jubilee” in the year 2003 marking a historic event, a milestone in its growth and development. MV envisions the values of knowledge and wisdom, national service and excellence in all spheres of life. It is greatly inspired by the life and services of Indian Ratnas like Sir M Vishweswaraya, Sir C V Raman, and His Highness Shri. Jayachamaraja Wodeyar, the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore.
