The Bloomfield Public School’s main objective is to provide a caring and positive atmosphere to promote the social, physical, intellectual, emotional and creative growth of children. Learning experiences, appropriate for the developmental age of each group are an essential part of the school’s vision enabling children to feel good about themselves. Positive guidance techniques by our staff help to enhance a child’s feeling of self-worth.The daily schedule includes large and small group interaction, which helps children learn to cooperate, listen and share; self-selected activities stimulate cognitive growth and imagination and outdoor activities help to develop motor skills.Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation and reinforcement through repetition.We believe that discipline, manners, etiquettes and social values are an integral part of children’s growth and the teachers must lovingly guide and redirect to help them learn to cooperate with their peers. This also leads to a positive educational experience encouraging and enhancing their growth and development while in our care.Recognizing that children grow in predictable stages, we treat each child as individual working from the level each child has attained and moving forward a step at a time.
