The journey of Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya began on June 05, 1974, with classes conducted in military-donated tents under the aegis of the Ramakrishna Seva Samithi. The foundation stone, laid on October 6, 1973, by Late Swami Ranganathanandaji, marked the beginning of an ambitious vision to provide quality education rooted in Indian values. The school’s first permanent structure, Ramakrishna Bhavan, became a cornerstone of its physical and academic foundations.

A pivotal moment in the Vidyalaya’s history came in 1989 when, under the guidance of visionaries like Late Bharat Ratna C. Subramanyam, Late Nani Palkhivala, and Late Swami Ranganathanandaji, the school merged with the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. This integration catalyzed a period of rapid growth and modernization, aligning the school with the Bhavan’s mission of excellence and service.

Over the decades, the Vidyalaya evolved from its humble beginnings into a leading educational institution. The first batch of students, who graduated in 1982, achieved a 100% success rate in Board exams, setting a precedent for future achievements. Today, the Vidyalaya boasts 110 sections, catering to students from Nursery to Class XII, with modern infrastructure and a wide range of facilities for academic and extracurricular development.
