Dr. K. M. Munshiji was the founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938. His life was comprised of a bundle of achievements of his own profession of law and also in public life. He was also a member of the Drafting committee of the Indian Constitution. He looked upon the Bhavan as an instrument for translating his vision of an India, into reality by the ‘Technological Avalanche’ rooted in the spirit of a remarkable culture which aimed at not only recreating worldly happiness, but also aspired for an enlightened spirit of factual circumstances. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan "Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan", established by Kulapati Munshiji stands for re-integration of Indian Culture to suit the modern times. Its ideal ‘ Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ – the world is one family. Its motto : ‘ Aa no bhadraah kartavo yanta viwatah’ – Let noble thoughts come to us from every side. Bhavan’s has today grown into a National Institution with an International outlook. It has been recognized as an “EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF NATIONAL EMINENCE”.
