It is rightly said that a library is the heart of an institution. A well-stocked library with various sources of information caters to the intellectual needs of its patrons, thus fulfilling the objective of a library by providing the right information to the right user at the right time. Our school library is well-equipped with print as well as digital sources of information organized with an open access and a suitable infrastructure for browsing and air-conditioned reading area. The library is having a good collection of about 20,000 documents which include textbooks on various subjects, storybooks, novels in English and Hindi, dictionaries, biographies, encyclopaedia, pop-up and 3D books, atlases, maps, globes, AV sources etc. To keep its readers updated with current affairs, the library subscribes English as well as Hindi dailies such as The Times of India, Hindustan (Hindi), etc. and periodicals such as Competition Success Review, Physics for You, Chemistry Today, Biology Today, Mathematics Today, India Today (English/Hindi), The Week, Children’s World, Champak (English/Hindi), Yug Nirman Yojana, Hans, Naya Gyanodaya, Reader’s Digest, etc. To inculcate reading habits among young readers, story books are provided to them along with library visit and story-telling sessions. It provides borrowing facilities to the teachers as well as students by issuing borrower’s tickets. Students are encouraged for maximum utilization of library resources, visit book fairs and other libraries of the city and to read voraciously as A Nation that Reads, is a Nation that Leads. Computer labs have become essential to modern education, offering students to access powerful technology and resources. They provide students with hands-on learning opportunities, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts in a practical way. Here, at Bal Bhavan, we are equipped with a state of the art lab where we let students experiment with software applications, explore the internet, and learn programming languages. This helps them to reinforce their understanding of computer-related concepts and improve their problem-solving skills. They can work at their own pace, revisit concepts they may not have understood theoretically. They can work in groups, share resources, and learn from each other. This not only enhances their understanding of the subject but also develops their communication and teamwork skills. In today's digital age, computer literacy is essential for success in any field. Our expert faculty ensures quality learning for the young minds thus providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in a technology-driven world. We also encourage students to learn skills that are not immediately related to the classroom curriculum – such as basic typing and advanced editing skills in their free time. This helps them utilize their time proactively and constructively minus any negative indulgence.

A systematic study which is based on facts and observations is called science, Biology is the study of living organisms and life processes. It is also named as life science or biological science or natural science. Biology is a very interesting subject in which we study about our self and other forms of the life surrounding us. The study of biology only through lecture method is meaning less and less interesting. No study in biology can be considered as complete without including practical work in it. Here comes the role of biology laboratory. Biology laboratory makes the teaching of Biology more meaningful and interesting. Biology laboratory plays a very important role in learning process. Systematic study based on fact and observation is useful to the learning of biology. Biology laboratory cater Physiological experiments to understand the internal chemical reactions which maintain the life. Section cutting and mounting helps to understand the morphology of cells and tissues of plants and animals. Study of specimens will provide basic idea of group of organisms. To understand the structure of organs and animals models helps the students a lot. Charts help to understand the biological processes and step wise learning of processes. Biology laboratory provides various opportunities to learn and experiment, which plays a crucial role in the ongoing intellectual development of students at any academic level. Biology laboratory gives students the time, space, and resources to explore and experiment the biological processes. Laboratory works can make students research oriented and can produce spark of interest in subject so learning Biology without lab is unimaginable.

We believe that great scientists are not created in huge research facilities, but in the small school labs. Physics is different from all other branches of science. To understand its concepts, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching, this is where the labs come in. It is imperative for the school to get all updated equipments so that students get to explore experiment and form their own conclusions. Our Laboratories are well equipped with all the necessary instruments, apparatus, etc., which are required for performing different experiments for Grade IX- XII and activities for the junior classes. Every year upgradation of lab is done as per the requirements of curriculum.

Our chemistry laboratory is well equipped with the required apparatus and stocked with chemicals to perform various experiments as per the CBSE guidelines. The highlight of the chemistry laboratory is microanalysis which ensures reduction of waste of toxic materials, thus encouraging and environmentally conscious workplace. In our lab students gain extensive practical experience by conducting experiments integrated with the academic structure. Our laboratories provide a platform for students where they explore, learn, collaborate, analyse and create. A well-equipped chemistry lab with the latest equipment’s provides experiential learning through hands on and fun filled activities.

A digital smart classroom provides enhanced teaching and learning experience. This makes learning more exciting and easier to understand. Smart classrooms provide Interactive Learning Experience. Learning through visuals helps the students to learn and memorize the topic for a prolonged period with some special effects and graphic presentations. It provides Easy Access to Online Resources. Students are habitual of writing notes in the class, which tends to divert their attention from learning. We give our students the experience of Smart classes that helps them in developing interest and avoid boredom. Our trained faculty displays animated media, such as videos, pictures, and audio which creates better learning outcomes. Every subject is benefitted by a smart class. Important skills of listening too are boosted among the students using these classes which helps them think analytically and critically beyond their imagination.

Bal Bhavan believes that 'Health is the real wealth' therefore, to provide safe and secure medical assistance, our school has built an air- conditioned, well-equipped medical room for students where all guidelines of state and central government are followed. A qualified nurse is there throughout the school hours to take maximum possible care of students. In case of any injury, fever, stomachache, headache or in other medical emergency, children can use medical room where they get first aid facilities. Basic medicines and ointments are available. Height, weight of students is monitored timely and if any medical issue is detected in child, then parents are also kept informed. Records of students' eyes, dental and general health are also maintained. School nurse play a crucial role in providing comprehensive health services to developing children and makes aware students about cleanliness and personal hygiene. The school has also appointed a full-time physiotherapist. They are responsible for making movement easier by training more typical patterns of movements. They also help in improving gross motor skills, functional mobility, muscle balance and muscle strength. They also design exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. Physical therapists can create a rehabilitation program that will help the student regain their strength and range of motion.

The safety and security of the students is of paramount importance to us, at BBPS, Laxmi Nagar. The school makes all necessary efforts and arrangements to ensure that the children remain safe and always protected. For total vigilance and safeguarding the students, the following measures have been taken: *Access to the school building is monitored and regulated. Security guards do not allow anyone other than the school employees and students to enter the school premises without permission. *The building has three exits which enables smooth dispersal of students as well as allows for rapid evacuation in case of any disaster. *All the movements during recess time and dispersal time are well guarded by teachers. Primary students always move along with their class teachers. *Security guards are deployed at every gates. The ID cards are issued to all the students and staff members. *The school building is illuminated at night with flood lights. *Security cameras are installed to monitor the activities of the school. *Adequate number of Fire Extinguishers are installed at various locations for firefighting in emergencies. *Regular drills and training sessions are conducted to prepare for emergencies such as fires and natural disasters.
