As  classes  resumed  for  5 to 8  standard students on Wednesday in most parts of the Maharashtra state after remaining shut from late March 2020 in veiw of Covid -19, the state Education Minister , Varsha Gaikwad visited  some of the schools where she interacted with students and teachers .Here note that except area under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation( BMC ), schools , barring primary ones, in the rest of the state have reopened with strict implementation of measures against COVID -19.  The minister travelled to a zila parishad school in Mhalunge village under Maval tehsil of Pune district , around 200 kms from Mumbai , and interacted with parents as well as students and teachers , an official statement said here . Gaikwad also visited a couple of other schools in Pune district , it said . She was accompanied by commissioner  for school education , Vishal Solanki and CEO of Pune ZP Ayush Kumar among others , the statement said .
