In an attempt to encourage its students, the Delhi government has come up with an impressive science scholarship that will benefit up to 1000 class 9 students. CM Kejriwal approved this new scholarship scheme some days back.

Introduced under the ‘Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha’ this science scholarship will reward a total of 1000 students with Rs. 5000 each, a statement reveals. This scholarship is open to all those studying in class 9 of all government, government-aided and recognised schools of Delhi. However, the students need to have secured at least 60% marks in their last class to be eligible to appear in the scholarship exam. A relaxation of 5% will apply to disabled students and also to students belonging to backward tribes and sections of the society.

Speaking about the scholarship, CM Kejriwal said, "It is a crucial step for our government to promote excellent and talented students. These students are the future of our country; they will become future scientists, engineers, doctors and architects and will make our nation proud."
