Directorate of Education is facilitating admissions for Economically Weaker Sections /Disadvantaged group category privately Unaided schools recognized under Delhi School Education Act & Rules, 1973 at the Entry Level classes (Pre-School/Nursery, Pre-Primary/KG and Class-I) for the academic session 2020-21 by creating computerized online admission system. Admissions of the EWS/DG category shall be done through a computerized lottery system by the schools. Around 25% seats are reserved for them under the provisions of the Right to Education Act, 2009.

There are 3 ways of applying to schools:-

  • Online filling of form and on-line submission (30% schools)
  • Online filling of form and offline submission (60% schools)
  • Offline collection and offline submission (10% schools)

For South Old Delhi schools, the category one proportion can be higher. There is a common admission form for the parents belonging to EWS (economically weaker section) and DG (disadvantaged group) category. You can jointly fill a typical admission form for multiple schools through a 3rd party company like Ezyschooling.
