The founder of Shivam Vidya Mandir High School and Junior College is our respect Principal Shri. Ramashankar Babulal Shrivastav, and was started in year 1981; the people of Sakinaka-Andheri and the surrounding suburbs witnessed the birth of this school, and the committee was established with the objectives of catering to the educational needs of the Hindi speaking community. It made a humble beginning by starting a primary school, which gradually expanded into a fully fledged secondary school. From 1997 onwards the Junior College of Commerce has been added & later on Science faculty in year 2001, which allows the school students to take advantage by taking admission in same college. To provide the best possible learning environment & facilities, both curricular and co curricular, conducive to nurturing inquisitive minds of our students who belongs to poor families. So as to enable them to achieve their full potential through all round development of their personality and to prepare them to become positive contribute to the global community. This is the motto of Shivam Vidya Mandir High School and Junior College, which has been inscribed clearly on its emblem. The logo also contains a lotus and a book inside a circle, which symbolizes industry, which is the backbone of the economic development of our county. The lotus is the national flower of India. The goddess Saraswati is often depicted as a beautiful woman dressed in pure white often seated on a white lotus, which symbolizes that she is founded in the experience of the Absolute Truth. Thus, she not only has the knowledge but also the experience of the Highest Reality. Books are the storehouse of information, knowledge and wisdom.
