To keep abreast with latest technology used in classrooms, we at Rockford Convent Sr. Sec. School have incorporated the facility of smart classes to make the process of learning fun filled and more interesting. Text book lessons can be explained and reinforced better with fascinating visual modules leaving a lasting impact on young minds. It facilitates understanding of intangible and difficult concepts with clarity and ease. To sum up, it has enhanced quality of teaching and added variety to classroom learning.

At Rockford Convent Sr. Sec. School, we have two exceptionally well equipped libraries for learners of all age.Senior School Library is for the Middle and Senior Wing and Junior School Library is for the Primary Wing. We aim at widening the horizon and liberating young minds by inculcating reading habits in children. Great care is taken to select appropriate books that trigger the thoughts and imagination creatively. Students as well as teachers can benefit from the wide variety of reference, fiction and nonfiction books available. The magazine section keeps the students informed and updated with the current happenings around the world. New books are added to the shelves regularly as per the suggestions of teachers and students. All classes from III- XII are provided with at least one library period per week.Students are expected to follow the rules laid down to enjoy the benefits of the school library.

In this technological period, the computer labs at Rockford Convent Sr.Sec provide an appropriate platform to the students to be proficient in handling technology. The computer labs are used not just to hone the skills of computer geeks, but also provide an exposure to the novices. The school has two computer labs one each for the senior and junior. The laboratories are equipped multimedia PC’s and with a leased line internet connection. All labs are connected to the server. The labs are ready to train students in operating office packages, animation, audio, and digital designing software. The senior lab provides students with programming concepts. The teachers also get to use the facilities to learn and design their presentations for students.

All experiments are carried out under the guidance of expert faculty and skilled lab assistants. Pendulums, spring weighing machines and tongs can be seen in continuous use at the physics lab that is well equipped to satisfy curious minds of scientists in making.

Popping sounds, coloured fumes and regular pungent smell is the order of the day in the well equipped chemistry lab where the students experiment with various chemical reactions.

To enhance awareness about environmental issues and to give knowledge about variations amongst the living, Biology Lab stresses upon the connection of Biology to real life problems and also lays emphasis on the use of biological discoveries / innovation in everyday life. Various experiments like dissection of flowers, collection of study soil are undertaken under the strict surveillance of the expert teachers. The learners are given exposure to various branches of biology in a contextual and friendly manner. They are also encouraged to develop rational attitude to issues related to population, environment and development.

We have varied indoor facilities also available for our students a Table Tennis room and facilities of chess, carom board. To keep our students motivated we keep organizing various intra school and inter school sports competitions. Each student is encouraged to take part in games on a regular basis. Students represent the school in various tournaments at different inter- school, district, state and national level tournaments. For our little ones we have a separate play area where the children can freely enjoy variety of swings. The preliminary training in sports begins right from the basic years under the guidance of our P.E teachers and competitive sports training by qualified teachers begins from class 5 to prepare our future sports heroes.
