Mahatma Phule Education Society's College of Arts & Commerce

Mahatma Phule Education Society is one of the leading educational institutions in the State of Maharashtra, imparting technical, vocational and academic education since 1954. The institution was established by the great social worker, educationist and philonthrospist Late Shri V.L. Alias Bhausaheb Kelshikar and his colleagues. At present we are conducting Technical School, Junior Voc, College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Degree College of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (Morning and Night) as well as Department of Computer Education, Graduate and Postgraduate courses in Medical Laboratory Technology BSC(MLT), B.Sc.(IT). The Foundation stone of the building was laid down by the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Hone`ble Yashwantro Chavan on 30th April, 1960 and it was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in Dec 1963. Since then many dignitaries from different walks of life, such as education, social work,music,culture,politics have visited our institution and have highly appreciated the task we have undertaken. We are of opinion, that the young men and women remain deprived from the stream of higher education, due to their economic status. Hence the institution has started Degree Colleges affiliated to University of Mumbai as well as junior college on unaided basis
